PETA's Second Letter

Dear Sir or Madam:

Earlier this year, we mailed a letter and survey to your company regarding nutritional studies on animals. In the letter (attached), we explained that we are in the process of compiling a list for our 750,000 members and supporters concerning manufacturers’ animal testing policies.

We have not yet received a response from your company. In order to ensure that we place your company on the appropriate list (of companies that do not conduct experiments using live animals, versus companies that do conduct experiments on animals), we again kindly request that you fill out one of the attached forms and promptly return it to my attention.

In selecting and signing the attached form that is indicative of the type of testing that your company may conduct, please keep in mind that “contract laboratory” refers to an animal research facility that the company pays to test its products, while “in-house laboratory” refers to an animal research facility owned and operated by the company.

Please contact me via phone at 757-622-7382 if you have any questions. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Kate Turlington, Assistant to the Senior Vice President
Research & Investigations Department
