Think animal-free clothes are boring and hard to find? Think again! Cruelty-free outfits and accessories are a cinch to find just about anywhere--department stores, thrift stores, trendy shops, and discount superstores. Let’s tag along with Charlotte and Whitney as they hit the mall to check out the latest vegan offerings.

Unless you’re stepping into Buck’s House of Leather, you’re sure to find cool shoes made out of synthetic materials in just about any footwear shop or department store. Charlotte and Whitney found these funky, chunky ones. A few brands to look for--Sam and Libby’s, Mix It, Unlisted, Esprit, Steve Madden, and Eastside.

When it’s time to shine, check out lip gloss by cruelty-free Jane cosmetics. They can be found at just about any drugstore, as well as Target, Fred Meyer, and Kmart.

Can’t catch a ride to the mall? The latest animal-free gear can be found in the pages of Delia’s catalog. Whether you’re looking for clunky lace-up boots or sweet and sassy Mary Janes, you can find plenty of hip vegan styles in Delia’s. (Call 1-800-DELIA-NY to order your copy of Delia’s latest catalog.)

The makers of Mudd Jeans know that being compassionate matters as much as looking cool. Being vegan made Mudd’s handy list of “cool things.”

This snazzy fake snakeskin purse by Esprit is tres chic. Shiny vinyl, rugged canvas, and fuzzy fake fur–the cruelty-free alternatives to over-priced, cruelly made leather bags are endless!

Keep toasty and dry with fuzzy, fake-fur earmuffs or polyester fleece hats, earmuffs, and gloves. Colorful Gore-tex and faux animal prints are a welcome change to scratchy, too-hot wool from abused sheep.

Charlotte and Whitney are looking good and spreading an important message to others by wearing their PETA T-shirts. We’ve got all the Tees you need to let others know that you’re a veggie, fur-free, proud PETA member! Call 1-800-483-4366 to order your catalog today.

Household giant Procter & Gamble recently announced that it will no longer test many of its existing cosmetics, hair- and skin-care products, and household cleaners on animals. This is terrific news and will save countless animals’ lives! P&G will also work to end the Food and Drug Administration’s requirement that fluoride toothpastes be tested on rats. These are all great steps in the right direction–and none of them would have been possible without your help! However, please continue to boycott P&G products until the company has declared a permanent end to all animal tests.
