Jersey Calhoun Veterinary Hospital

Animals like this cat are purposely made obese for use in “pet” food manufacturers’ cruel and unnecessary obesity studies. The Animal Welfare Act allows animals to be kept in tiny, crowded cages like this one.

In addition to being a veterinary hospital, Jersey Calhoun Veterinary Hospital is a United States Department of Agriculture registered research facility.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2002, an unnamed representative from the veterinary hospital called the laboratory that we investigated (which also provides live animals for experimentation) to report that a cat who had been purchased from the lab had to be euthanized. The Jersey Calhoun was given a “replacement cat” and continues to experiment on animals and support a facility that is, in our opinion, a hellhole.

We voiced our concerns and asked the hospital to stop testing on animals, but we have not received a response. Please ask Jersey Calhoun to stop experimenting on animals:
