Call
them the Florida Marlins of the Vegetarian League. After not
having even cracked the Top 10 last year, Jacobs Field in
Cleveland has catapulted to the front of the pack, taking
home top honors in this year’s contest. “The Jake”
now offers two different salads, a veggie wrap, pierogies,
bean burritos, knish (potato spiced with pepper and wrapped
in dough), vegetarian sushi, Johnny’s Apple Sticks (a
local favorite), a fruit cup, and a veggie burger. Teamed
with division rivals the White Sox and the Twins, who placed
seventh and ninth, respectively, the Indians and Jacobs Field
make the AL Central a force to be reckoned with for vegetarian
fans.
