I caught this on HBO on Demand. It's an amazing documentary, but was so hard for me to watch. When I saw that man who stepped on that dog's (wolf?) face and tortured him while he was still alive, I was was reminded why I became a vegetarian and animal-rights supporter seven years ago. I'm proud to not support behavior like this. Ingrid Newkirk is a hero. lol!

My story is short - I happened to touch a jacket lined with mink fur, felt incredibly sad and went online to see what minks look like. Found PETA and have now stopped eating meat and joined the animal activist network. Isn't it amazing how anestethized we had all become. We never knew! It was all well hidden from our eyes, packed in shiny boxes, and colourful packaging. Meat was just meat, and you tried not to think beyond that. Ingrid, I hope you never stop. I hope you are around for a long time. I hope you never get tired. If you do - we are here, and will carry forward the wave. Greetings to you all, People. Lets spread the word. Sofia, Bulgaria

This is an extraordinary film. It's not fun to watch, as a matter of fact I cried several times. It's so powerful. I relate with Ingrid a great deal, and agree with her about basically all she said. I also appreciated the way that the film showed the views of others, and was not simply a marketing tool for PETA. I think that made it all the more powerful. I love the turkey, I forget her name, but she is an example of what PETA is all about. Thank you PETA, and Ingrid, for opening my eyes and helping me to open the eyes of others that I meet. I will never stop working to help animals. I owe a lot to your organization.

I would like to thank you for supporting animals and by doing so making all the other people understand that people are animals and animals are people!!!! I LOVED the documentary, seeing you in your every day life was an inspiration!! I am a vegetarian and I am always proud of it, PETA HAS MADE ME PROUD!!!! I am Jewish and I was annoyed with the Jewish people that got offended that you compared the holocaust to animals, it is the same concept, and animals do not have A VOICE to defend themselves!!! I thank you!!!! You are an amazing strong women and hopefully more people see what PETA is!!!

The love for animals comes with its fair share of tears in a world with so much cruelty. But luckily there are people like Newkirk who is an inspiration to all of us so that we can take the focus from ourselves and do something for the most vulnerable. With all my heart, thanks for all the good work.
