Do you want to speak up for animals but don't know how to get started? Do you want to meet like-minded animal advocates in your area? Whether you're new to animal activism or a seasoned pro, Speak Up for Animals is for you!

In the coming months, PETA representatives will be holding two-day Speak Up for Animals seminars in cities across the country. On day 1, they will screen HBO's award-winning documentary I Am an Animal: The Story of Ingrid Newkirk and PETA. On day 2, they will lead a discussion about getting active for animals, being as effective as possible, and doing what you can to make the world a kinder place.

Day One: I Am an Animal: The Story of Ingrid Newkirk and PETA

On Friday night, there will be a free screening of the award-winning, informative, and thought-provoking HBO documentary I Am an Animal. It will give you a glimpse inside the daily life of PETA President Ingrid Newkirk—from the moment she wakes up, well before dawn, until the end of a long day spent fighting for the rights of animals. You will get an inside look at one woman's lifelong quest to make the world a kinder place for all animals, and it will inspire you to make a difference in your community.

Day Two: Activism Seminar and Networking

The following afternoon, join us for a lively discussion and a special training session that will cover topics including outreach opportunities, how to answer tough questions, and what you can do to make a difference in your community and beyond. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned pro, you'll find the opportunity to talk with other animal rights advocates fun and inspiring, and you'll leave with new friends and new ideas for how you can make a real difference for animals.

If you can't fit both days into your schedule, you can register for the events separately. Be sure to register soon, as space is limited.
