'Pleather Yourself' 2008 Contest Winner Revealed

Jenna, from Halifax, Nova Scotia, is the winner of "Pleather Yourself" 2008!

The hottest vinyl vixens around the world submitted their sexiest photos for PETA's 2008 "Pleather Yourself" contest, and after narrowing the field to 10 finalists, we let you help choose the winner. Thousands logged on to PETA.org to cast their vote, but only one finalist could come out on top.

The winner of "Pleather Yourself" 2008 is Jenna from Halifax, Nova Scotia!

Jenna will receive a free trip for two to "Sin City," Las Vegas—courtesy of Holiday Systems International—and a $100 gift certificate to Maggie Delena Designs, a premier latex-clothing line.

Jenna has always been against cruelty to animals and says that "animals are companions, not fashion." No matter how trendy a pair of leather shoes or handbag may be, Jenna says "it will never be anything but murder to me."

Jenna avoids leather in favor of form-fitting pleather because "there is absolutely no reason why you should harm a living being for clothing. There are plenty of synthetic fabrics that can give you the exact same look and feel if that’s what you desire." And she's not the only one who feels this way. Other beautiful women know the pleasures of pleather too. Just check out adult-film icon Jenna Jameson's sizzling "Pleather Yourself" ad for PETA. She is living proof that pleather is sexy.

If you need more reasons to try this alternative to leather, consider the animals who suffer and die to make leather. Most cows, pigs, and sheep who are killed for their skin endure miserable lives on factory farms, where extreme crowding, deprivation, castration without anesthesia, branding, and dehorning are common.

Learn more about the animal suffering caused by the production of "fatal fashions," such as leather, by watching the video below and then adding it to your MySpace page or sending it to friends on Facebook.
