Create a Blog Advertisement for PETA and Win!

Get those creative juices flowing—PETA has created our first ever blog ad competition. Because we love the good folks at BlogAds, we wanted to show them that the rest of the world appreciates the coolest form of online advertising just as much as we do.

It is often said that blogs are journalism in its purest form. We believe that blog ads might just be advertising at its best. A little bit of text and a single image is all you have to work with, and while it sounds simple enough, it takes amazing creativity and skill to stand apart from all the noise on the Internet.

That is where you come in; we want you to create our next blog ad!

This contest is open to everyone, from the brilliant ad minds at agencies around the world to the tech geeks working in their bedrooms in suburban San Francisco. So put on your thinking caps, and get busy designing the best blog ad the Internet has ever seen!

We want you to have complete creative freedom here, so your ad can be about anything that promotes PETA or any of PETA's campaigns to stop cruelty to animals. The goal of the ad should be to drive traffic to an existing PETA Web site, so explore the site to find your inspiration; the rest is up to you. And remember, we're PETA, so don't be afraid to be racy, provocative, shocking, or even controversial if you want to.

We will choose 10 finalists, whose ads will run all across blogs on the Internet. We will also feature the 10 finalists on PETA.org and let the public choose their favorite to be the "People's Choice Winner."

Oh, and we aren't working you for nothing! The lucky winner will receive an Apple gift card for $500, and the other finalists will all receive Apple gift cards for $20.

Use the form below to send us your blog ad before September 24. On October 8, we will announce the finalists and give you a chance to vote for your favorite. On October 30, the people's choice winner will be revealed.
