Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way.

World Cup Winners

Written by PETA | July 8, 2010

With people glued to their TVs to watch the final matches of the World Cup, a group of folks from PETA Asia, Fur Free South Africa, and the South African Naturist Federation—as well as fans from all over the world—seized the moment to speak out for animals who are killed for their fur.

From China (where animals on fur farms are commonly skinned alive and even cats and dogs are killed for their fur) to Canada (where hundreds of thousands of baby seals have their heads bashed in every year), the fur trade represents cruelty of global proportions. Let’s unite and take action to reach our goal: a world in which no more animals are killed to become coats, collars, and cuffs.

This letter was in the New York Daily news on 73 From HavreauxMaisonsQuebec Canada There are so many stupidities in Bill Maher’s article that I don’t know where to start. Does he know that more than 80 of Canadians support the seal hunt? Does he know that a study by biologists and veterinarians found that clubbing is the most efficient and humane way to kill a seal? Does he know that the harp seal population is around 8 million and it should be half of that to avoid ecological deisater? Guess not. Signed by Gil Therault. Bill Maher did write an article about how barbaric the seal hunt is and this letter writer says that 80 of Canadians support the seal hunt! Is this true? Is anything this moron said true? How can biologists and veterinarians say this is humane? This guy should be on the other end of the device these seal hunters use to murder baby seals!
