‘Win It’ Wednesday: KattySaks Litter Box Cover

Written by PETA | May 19, 2010

A plain-Jane litter pan shoved out of sight? Boring! It’s time to redecorate your cat’s bathroom. But before you call Extreme Makeover: Litter Box Edition, take a look at these snazzy slipcovers from KattySaks.

Fun and functional, these machine-washable fabric slipcovers—which come in three different designs (the Beach Bus, the Surf Shack and Le Dresser)—are guaranteed to take your cat’s litter box from drab to feline fab.

Your cat really wants you to win one, so tell us what makes him or her a purrfect companion. The person whose comment earns the most “awws” around the office will win the slipcover of his or her cat’s choosing.

After you and your cat finish debating which style to choose (my cat has her heart set on the Surf Shack), please read on: The contest ends on June 2, 2010, and we’ll pick the winner on June 4, 2010. Be sure to read our privacy policy and terms and conditions, as you’re agreeing to both by commenting.

Good luck, cat lovers!

Mooncat is a 16lb 1 yr old Maine Coon kitten She HATES when anyone is in the same room with her when she “does her business” I lost my calico of 24 yrs in 2008. We built her a privacy litterbox surrounded by potted herbs. It looks great and she loves the catnip etc!

Babicat has learned the meaning of patience over the last 24 years of his life. You see we foster cats for the organization Jackson Friends. They find new homes for cats to live and we give them lots of love until they get a new home. But poor Babicat has to put up with these young cats and all the squabbles and of course the rambunctiousness of cats decades younger than himself. He has been here to lend me strength through some very tough times over the last few years. You see i lost me husband of 43 years just over a year ago. He has been such a great companion sleeping next to me coming to me when he knows I am upset. I do not know how easy times would have been if not for my Babicat and his great patience.

Shebe had our heart from the minute we adopted her. You see my family and I had adopted her brother about a month before and we instantly fell in love with him. He was the sweetest kitten I had ever had. He would follow us around the house. I remeber one time we were at the table playing a game he followed us and would sit in a chair…staying there the entire time we played. Sadly Hebe our male kitten got into my dryer one night as I was putting clothes in. This was tramatic for our whole family…After crying for two days I decided to go back to my vet. There were a few kittens left. The vet said that Hebe was dropped off there in a box along with a few siblings. There was only one left…a female. I took her immediately. We named her Shebe. She is the sweetest cat and also follows us around the house. There personalities are exactly the same. It is amazing to me that they act so similiar. You can tell they are from the same bloodline. We miss Hebe terribly but feel as if we still have a part of him with us always! Thank you for the entry! The Davis’

Just like a beach bum my kitty would be friends with everyone. When visitors come in she thinks they come to see her. Her favorite sleeping spot is the nearest lap.

  • Gianna says:

My kitty makes sure my kids have their blankets at night. It is the cutest thing ever. If they push their blankets off she makes sure to pull them back on them.

My cat Punkin is the PURRfect companion for me because she doesn’t leave my side. She follows me everywhere and sits with my every night. She follows me in the kitchen and waits for her treats and she meows when she needs her potty room cleaned. Punkin was purchased for my daughter but has a very strong attachment to me. It’s amazing the friendship you can have with an animal. I never knew it existed because as a child I overly loved my pets and they didn’t like me. Thanks for the giveaway. My Punkin pie deserves a shrine of privacy!

I am a vet tech who has rescued 10 cats so I have lots and lots of litterboxes. A cool cover for one would be a little bright spot in a sea of kitty litter.

Jinx is the greatest! She’s always there to greet us when we come home and she gives us a “nose nudge” to say hi. She is the best when she hides behind a corner and pulls an ambush attack on the dog who just looks at us as if he’s saying “help me”.

I have 2 cats Yaahoo and Sassy. Sassy is glued to me anytime I am sitting. We have had her now for 10 yrs. Then there is Yaahoo that someone dumped and was half starved and melted my heart. She was mistreated so doesnt like her head petted by anyone but me and it took a few years before she really wanted even me to do so. They mean the world to me just like family members. On holidays they always get a special feast too and presents.

How cool is that good luck to everyone

I think it’s hard to explain what my cat Kipper means to me. It’s kinda like trying to describe a perfect blue skyor a crystal clear blue ocean. My family and I rescued him when he was a kitten from an animal shelter almost 16 years ago. We never realized that day just how perfect he would fit into our lives or the love he would unselfishly share with us and the constant joy he would bring. Loving Kipper has been one of the easiest things I have ever done in my life. I look at him and my heart is happy and that’s probably the best explanation I can give.

My boyfriend and I have a cat and he’s just amazing. He wakes me up every morning by massaging my back with his paws and will lay next to us meowing and begging to be pet. He’s the most lovable cat ever! I’d get the surf shack for him!

What makes my 7 cats the perfect companions? It isn’t the love in their eyes when they look at me or the laughs they inspire through their distinct personalities or the joy I get watching them breath as they sit on my lap. No they are the perfect companions because they love each other. Not one has ever hissed balked or turned away from each new stray that I’ve welcomed. It’s as if they realize that they need to share this good life of steady food a warm bed and constant love with whoever shows up at the door. Their curiousity quickly turns to love snuggling and playing. My oldest at 17 Jesse Jane welcomed my latest Myrtle who is 6 months as if she birthed her herself. And all my boys Duke Riley Spanky Buckwheat and big sister Piper did the same. Several of them were the ones sitting on the porch like her. It was if they know and say to the newbie “Come on in you’re safe here we’ll show you around”. And they each in their time saw the kindness in the others and never picked one fight. They are truly perfect companions for me because they see the same needs I do when I look at these orphans.

When my father died I got his cats his 3 plus my 1 equals 4. I had a problem with one with him peeing everywhere turns out it was not an infection but a behavorial problem probaly due to his death One thing the vet told me was to put a litter box on every floor. The upsatirs really has no place for a litter box but this would be a perfect cute hiding place!
