‘Win It’ Wednesday: ‘Go Veg’ Cow Necklace

Written by PETA | April 28, 2010

Cows are cool, and so is bling. And that’s what makes Alternative Outfitters’ ‘Go Veg’ Cow Pendant Necklace a must-have accessory.

Cow Pendant

Handmade out of recycled aluminum, this pretty conversation piece is a great way to spread the pro-vegan message (and look good while doing it). So cow‘s about trying to win one of these necklaces? Just tell us what mooved you (OK, I’ll cool it with the cow puns … for now) to go veg. The person who leaves the most inspiring comment will walk away with this awesome animal-friendly accessory.

Before you start dreaming about fine jewelry, please read the fine print: The contest ends on May 12, 2010, and we’ll pick the winner on May 15, 2010. Be sure to read our privacy policy and terms and conditions, as you’re agreeing to both by commenting.

Becoming a vegan was the most important decision I have ever made. Discovering the horrific abuse these animal’s face, being in complete subjection to money-greedy humans, I could no longer have anything to do with the use of any animal products. My intense love for every living thing made the transition from carnivore to herbivore quite easy. After countless debates and arguments with mindless people, angry that I (and many others) will not stand for the violence, I am more determined than ever to remain strong in my fight. I will starve to death or die naked before I use or eat any animal product.

I decided to go vegetarian when I was 13 and not so naive. It was definetly a great decision that impacted my life so much. I quickly heard about PETA from my aunt and decided to do more research about it. It made me more aware of the cause and a better person. Go vegetarian/Vegan! Put someone’s life first, rather than your taste buds because. Every life matters.

I would love to win this necklace because it’s made from recycled materials which is good for the environment and it would promote vegetarianism which is very important to me as some people honestly don’t know that there are other options and the suffering that battery farm animals go through

I watched 30 days on FX about peta and I was overwhelmed by what I saw. I made the choice then and there to go vegan and not ever go back. After numerous hours of research I completely changed my lifestyle and habits and have been living crueltyfree for almost 2 years now!

Before I was a vegetarian I was stupid and naive. I didn’t think much of what I was eating and where my food came from. I just ate whatever my mother put on my plate. But after my friend sent me the link of “Chew On This” it opened my eyes. It made me realize that animals were like me. They had feelings and emotions. They didn’t chose to be killed for me and my taste buds. They felt pain. After that day me and my friend decided that we didn’t want to cause anymore preventable suffering. So after that video we both went vegetarian.

i went veg because off all the videos ive seen of poor abused cows chickens and other animals. after researching this matter even further i was shocked to learn the animal abusers were let off so easily. i was disgusted and refused to eat meat from then on. its a challenge because all my family eats meat but im coping.
