The Other White Meat?

Written by PETA | March 12, 2010

David Luciano—winner of the Toronto Film School’s Best Director Award—turns the tables on humans in “Dirty Pig,” a new short film that’s sure to result in lots of forsaken bacon:

The scariest part of “Dirty Pig”? Considering that a pig is smarter than a 3-year-old child, Luciano’s bloody role reversal isn’t so far from the truth.

m not against people who want to protect animals against abuse but fishing and hunting are a way to feed ur family. My family and I are about 5050 on meat fruit and vegetables that’s how god intended us to eat.

Leticia how can someone force you to eat meat? You know what vegan means right? You can’t have any foods that contain products produced by animals. Why don’t you take one step at a time and try being a vegetarian first. And no one can force you to do what you don’t want to do. You ALWAYS have a choice. Your choice right now is to obey your parents. I’m vegetarian BUT I am not against eating meat. I’m against the way animals are treated to turn them into food. I think it’s not humane at all. Have y’all ever seen the movie Food Inc? There is a farmer that raises his own chickens and cows on the proper foods they were made to eat AND kills them the humane way. I see nothing wrong with that. They aren’t diseased made super duper fat so they can’t walk. They aren’t pushed into some cattle bin by a bulldozer. Comments such as “ugly people eat meat” isn’t what turns meat eaters into veggie eaters. By degrading other people and not being respectful to their choice you hinder people from being open minded and give vegetarians a snobby bad name. Get over yourself and let people be who they are. I was raised eating meat. 26 years. I’m not 28 and have been vegetarian for 2 full years. It’s hard every day. Especially when my employer orders bbq. I use to LOVE bbq. I believe God gave us the animals for a reason. BUT I also don’t think God wanted us to abuse them and cause them pain. Not every culture is the same. This isn’t a cokie cutter world. Try and think of better ways to get people to be open minded to vegetarianism instead of putting them down. That doesn’t win anyone over.

To Leticia I’m 15 and I have recently gone vegan. My mom and many others were skeptical on whether or not I could do it because I never even made a transition from vegetarian to vegan. So I kinda quit cold turkey no pun intended. I recommend trying to just go vegetarian first to prove to your mom that you are serious and can stick to the plan. Then go from there. You should also do some research and show your mom some of the health benefits along with facts to back it up. I support you 100 and hope that your mom will let you live a better lifestyle!

Pigs and humans are too equal in their body structure to be allowed to eat each other without getting cannibals.

  • Andre Inglis says:

Moo I see you on here quite often and you have such great comments! Go fully vegan Moo and enjoy the full benefits of a crueltyfree lifestyle! 3

My boyfriend also thinks that eating meat is ok because we’re the “dominant” species. I hate that! Flesh is flesh no matter where it comes from we’re all equal.
