Vegans Are Superheroes

Written by PETA | August 12, 2010

In the new movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, which opens tomorrow, former Superman Brandon Routh plays a superhero once again. This time, his character is a “ninth-level vegan,” which means that he has the power of telekinesis. As his character puts it, his power stems from the fact that his brain isn’t “filled up with curds and whey.” (I think I must be only a sixth-level vegan because my only superpower is the ability to make vegan chocolate disappear.)

In real life, Routh has another superpower—the ability to make a killer vegan breakfast. “I love pancakes,” Routh told Maxim magazine. “I think the vegan ones I make are as good [as] or better than the ones with eggs, butter, and milk.”

We’re going to be sure to hit Brandon up for his recipe, but in the meantime, you can give these a try.

You guys do know that Todd Ingram, the character that Brandon Routh is playing, is supposed to make fun of vegans, right?

Todd, both in the comics and the movie, is portrayed as such an idiot, that he doesn’t know that gelato is not vegan but, as the comic states, “It’s milk and eggs, b*tch!” He made the same mistake with chicken.

Also, in the video game, in the first level, one of types the enemies is the attack dog, and the game is of the beat ’em up genre, so basically, you spend part of the first level punching dogs and/or beating them with blunt instruments until they turn into coins, which you can spend on non-vegan specialties such as sushi and MEAT burritos to raise your stats.

I just wanted to clarify that for you, before you give more praise to Scott Pilgrim without doing the proper research into the comics, movie, and video game.

To destroy any of God’s creatures for “sport” or recreation are activities no Christian or humane person would consider. Humans were originally herbivorous until . It is only with the onset of human sin that sufferingdeath and decay are introduced into nature. Animals possess a soul and men must live and feel solidarity with our smaller brethren” and that all animals are the fruit of the creative action of the Holy Spirit and merit respect” and that they are as near to God as men are” Go Veg to free the world of suffering!

Vegans are better looking!!! Compassion shines in beautiful faces and gorgeous bodies white teeth and chilled gentle ways. Have pity for the poor uneducated meat eaters. They are constipated anxious and farty with bad breath and poor skin and they don’t have the intelligence to know what they are doing to their bodies.
