Tune in Tonight for ‘Blood Dolphins’

Written by PETA | August 27, 2010

The Cove opened eyes and filled them with tears. Tonight, the sad saga continues with Blood Dolphins—a three-part miniseries based on the Oscar-winning documentary’s exposé of Japan’s gruesome dolphin trade and slaughter.

Blood Dolphins premieres tonight at 11 p.m. Eastern time on Animal Planet.

Blood Dolphins

Also, if you haven’t seen The Cove yet Animal Planet will be airing it this Sunday at 9 p.m. Eastern time. Please tell everyone you know to tune in to both. The official “killing season” will begin September 1 in Taiji, Japan (“The Cove”). Together we can change the tide. Please contact your local Japanese embassy and demand that Japan stop this bloody business.

For those who have been unable to view “Blood Dolphins”. Search YouTube for “SeaShepherdSecurity” and you will find the full episode available in four parts. Gratitude to all of you who “care” to be informed.

I had the same problem as Amanda it wasnt shown on Animal Planet in the UK eirther nor is Blood Dolphins being shown. I had a look on sky tv guide and the listings are different to what is being shown here. Disappointed as wanted to watch both and its looseing out on the worldwide attention it deserves. Your only able to watch clips on animalplanet website. Will just have to buy the dvd and hopefully Blood dolphins will be put on dvd also.

I feel sick depressed but most of all furious. Why is this still going on? Why aren’t the people of Japan rising up and screaming “Enough of this!” That is the only way it’s going to stop and until that happens and the Japanese are cowards for allowing the slaughter to continue. Shame on them!

Is it a FRENZY of the dying or the killers. This must be what is a part of THE RED SEA…. To see and hear of SOOOOO much destruction of life. We are all responsible when we see things like this and sit back and do nothingwhen we know this goes on and we sit back and do nothingwe are destroying the world as we sit back and do nothing. It is not just China and Japan destroying life there is SwedenUnited StatesAustralia just to name a few we are all in this togetherto put the blame on the most HIGHLIGHTED is absurdwhen each has it’s own form of death.Have we come to this as whole nation to even think we have mastered the death to millionsthere are consquences to our actionsthis blood bath will not go unnoticed. No animal is safe and for that matter no human is safe eitherlook at what we put people throughleft homeless in povertyit is no wonder people resort to crimeno one caresif we turn a blind eye it will go away if we move farther away it will go away but it doesn’twe only destroy more when we move farther away by cutting down land so people can move farther away we destroy our own naturedestroying more and more wildlife and ocean life when we bite off more than we can chew. There should be more documented accounts shown on television to spread the word of what is actually going on in the world. People are clueless or just turn a blind eye because it does not directly affect them.It is time people know first hand what is happening to the world in which we live.

If you do not have cable go to animalplanet.com to see if they have the episodes you can watch online. Japan just makes me sick. There is not a single animal that is safe from those pathetic people. Dolphins are such beautiful animals we should not be killing them!

  • Sharon Morgan says:

I think this act is disgusting and should be stopped. These are harmless animals. Japan China and Asia are destroying our animal population will sales or meat and fur.

  • Mia says:

Please STOP killing these helpless dolphins! They are not the reason for the declining of the population of fishes the fact is that your citizens are increasing their demands for fishes that even the fish doesn’t have time to breed. I beg your kind embassy to advocate for these mammals. Thank you.
