Still No Justice for PLRS Animals

Written by PETA | March 24, 2011

More than six months after PETA released documentation of the horrors at animal testing hellhole Professional Laboratory and Research Services, Inc. (PLRS)—evidence so shocking that within a week the laboratory had released its dogs and cats to rescue groups up and down the East Coast and shut its doors in shame—the abusers still have not been brought to justice. PETA first met with the local district attorney nearly a year ago and showed him graphic footage of PLRS employees screaming profanities at animals, flinging cats into cages, and kicking, throwing, and dragging dogs. And still no cruelty-to-animals charges.

What will it take to make the government bring charges against these abusers? Maybe a few thousand e-mails from PETA Files readers will do the trick. Please take moment to speak up for these animals by sending a polite e-mail to the district attorney asking him to prosecute the PLRS workers and seek justice for all the animals who suffered at their hands.

If you don’t have the choice to buy not-animal-tested, at least buy European products or from countries where animal testing laws are more advanced.

Why do people have to treat animals like this? I think the people involved in this should be inprisioned and tested on. Leave them to sit in their own urine and be thrown around.

IF THERE ARE LAWS IN THIS PLANET GIVE THESE BEASTS THE WORSE. WITHOUT PUNISHMENT FOR WHAT THEY DID, IT IS PROOF THAT THERE IS NO HUMANITY LEFT…

  • Nicole says:

Please please bring these people to task about the barbaric way they treated these defenseless, scared and often ill animals. These animals did not ask to be there and HUMANS decided to use them to test all sorts of things that caused many pain and discomfort and then when they needed love the most, they were kicked, punched, screamed at and abused. Please don’t let these people, especially the girls, get away with this. If they can do this to an animal, they will not have a conscience when doing it to a child….please please do something

animal abusers will do it again & again until stopped. The time has come to make a statement to all those working with animals that there are laws in place for a reason.

What is stopping the Sonenshines from setting up or partnering in another barbarically mismanaged facility? Can anyone believe these people were unaware of the people & conditions in their labs? If they can turn a blind eye to that I can’t imagine the other ethical travesties they are capable of… and all the philanthropical “giving” they engage in — the symphony, university talks about inter faith cooperation — will never cleanse them of this sin against living things. I don’t need to know you to know you are ego driven status seekers faking philanthropy…philanthropy is the fruit of compassion and you have NONE. Your philanthropy really a simple exchange of $$$ from torturing animals in exchange for your names to be associated with the finer elements of culture. Shame on you Sonenshines. Shame on your clients who did not perform proper due diligence on their suppliers. Shame on the people who supplied you with the animals you failed to exercise proper stewardship for. Shame on the legal system that has not prosecuted you.

Hey: There is only two things I see to do…. 1). Get members from all organizations to picket? 2). Flood Mr. Parrish’s (District Attorney’s office with letters from this organization. This needs to be organized and done depending on where this nasty company is located.
