Sporting Goods Retailer Scores Touchdown With Caring Fans

Dick's Sporting Goods

At least one corporation that stood to profit from Michael Vick’s NFL reinstatement has decided to put morals before money.

While the NFL rushed to reinstate Michael Vick the second his ankle bracelet hit the floor, sporting goods giant Dick’s has made it clear that it cares more about animals then it does its bottom line by refusing to sell replicas of Vick’s Philadelphia Eagles jersey in any of its stores nationwide.

We hope you’ll join us in letting Dick’s know that it made the right decision by calling 1-877-846-9997 (dial 3 to speak to the operator). And if your dialing digits still feel like dancing, you can also call and complain to the NFL.

i wish someone would take the phrase”served his time”and shove it up their arses!

SWEET!!!! shutup Kevin!!! i am sure if given the chance a few years down the road he will do the same thing again!! look at DMX for example! why is it that some people think that it is acceptable because a human sat some time in prison or jail paid a little fine for neglecting torturing abusing and slaughtering that they are automatically cured of the disease that infects their minds to drive them to the point of the crimes they committed they are sick people. just my opinion!!

  • Kevin says:

This man served his time for the crime committed. What about cruelty to humans? He paid for his mistakes so why drive him into the ground?

  • William Arellano says:

Just put out one! I am brave enough to give you my personal info and support Peta but to really go after someone after they served time they were given and lost over $100 million is something none of us have had to endure. If he continues his animal abuse then put him in jail for the rest of his life but for now give him a chance afforded by the same rights we all have especially Peta to have free speech agains the ills of the world. If not then you are all bs.

  • William Arellano says:

Just seen I have to be approved by the blog owner to post! That is funny since MSN allows for all to post respectively. Seems like Peta people have more in common with M.Vicks abusive controlling behavior than I thought! How can you aruge against a person’s rights given by the US oh you can censor what posts say and control thoughts on your website so why not! Brilliant!!!

Here’s an idea for a sign to put in their front windows MICHAEL VICK IS NOT AT DICK’S. Dick’s sporting goods will not support athletes who treat animals inhumanely. We are not sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Shana says:

I’m sorry to hear that Dick’s is jumping on the Michael Vick hater bandwagon. I’m a PETAloving vegan but when someone chooses to turn his life around and help animals bashing him is the wrong way to go. I’m sure some people think I’m naive for believing that Vick has changed but as long as he’s fighting against dog fighting we should support him in his efforts.

  • David says:

So much for “higher” education Not everybody is the perfect person in the world he said of Vick. Everyone does kills people murders people steals from you steals from me. I just feel that people need to give him a chance. Terrelle Pryor Quarterback Ohio State …and his coach seems to stand by Pryor calling Pryor a “compassionate” person. Any compassios for the dogs Michael Vick TORTURED?

This store has more compassion than the Humane Society of the United States in reference to the horrid Michael Vick case.

  • kerry says:

Yay that’s great I’m so pleased 2 hear. Its the best news I’ve had all week. You have shown the world that you have great ethical standards. GO DICK’S….
