Santa’s Not Coming …

Written by PETA | December 17, 2007

This Christmas, please, please, please remember to leave soy milk out for Santa Claus instead of cow’s milk. With that in mind, here is PETA’s world-famous “Santa’s Not Coming” PSA. Warning: It’s a little bit controversial (by which I mean “hilarious”). As usual, please direct all complaints or concerns about this ad to OMGWTF@peta.org, with the subject line “Please, think of the children!”

Its the hormones in conventional milk that are a problem not the milk itself. Support your local family farm and buy good old fashioned cream on the top milk that doesn’t contain the hormones some large companies give to their cows. You will be supporting a local business and its good for you. Really. If you don’t choose to drink milk or have dairy products that’s fine but people who do partake can do so without fear. I myself was lactose intolerant and found that I wasn’t actually intolerant to the milk fat or lactose in the milk. I was sensitive to the hormones. Now while I don’t say I drink milk very often I can if I want to and I can have ice cream again now that I buy organic hormone free or buy a cone from a local place that is run by a local family that makes their own ice cream and has their own cows.

Christopher Cochran You have an MD … I would assume you could detect sarcasm when it is presented. I apologize if I am wrong. Besides I find you very interesting …

  • Caboose says:

What has PETA done killed the real Santa and replaced him with a fat vegan? Whoever did this I hope you have high tolerance for .50 BMG rounds.

  • Christopher Cochran MD says:

Kristina The ironic thing is that Ariel purports to be much older than twenty.

  • Kristina says:

Ariel Your statement seems a little selfindulgent and pretentious. AntiPETA people if done right I admit put themselves out there as well. I’m antiPETA. but not antianimal rights would you like to fault me for that? As I have always said my ears and eyes are open and I like to listen. Would you still like to go with your blanket statement “And unfortunately the antiPeTA’s can’t say they realize or care about what the cows go through or try to stop animal cruelty …”?” Is it nice to be 20 yrs old and follow an organization blindly?

  • Mike Quinoa says:

Fair enough Fred. I usually avoid the fake meats near beer as you say but found after being veg for a while I didn’t desire meat any more. I think the longer you are veg the easier it is to remain veg. Have a Merry Christmas!

  • Ariel says:

Shayla GREAT post! I couldn’t have said it better myself! And unfortunately the antiPeTA’s can’t say they realize or care about what the cows go through or try to stop animal cruelty and mostly for putting ourselves out there for what we believe in despite all antagonism.

  • Fred says:

Mike No I havent given it a real shot simply because I don’t like the taste. I have a sister who is vegetarian and so I have tried it on several occasions and to say it is a close tasty substitute is totally inaccurate in my eyes. I have also had my fill of soy in the military as soy burgers milk and such is generally cheaper and less likly to spoil. Its kinda of like drinking near beer whats the point. I won’t say you are wrong for eating vegan food and have no intention of verbally bashing you because you do. In turn I would expect the same because I don’t. I simply don’t like the taste and I have zero guilt while eating a bacon cheese burger.

  • Kristina says:

Shayla And what you say about antiPETA people they can say the same thing about proPETA people. It’s a two way street.

  • Holly says:

Jack Degerlia I did not say a word about WalMart! it was BullyDawg December 17 2007 0204 PM Not me…

  • Adriana says:

It makes you impotent? Thats… weird I love soy milk so ill leave it out for him D Thanks! Silk Soy Nog? I gotta try it!

  • Caboose says:

That title can be used in a perverted sense. Please dont flame me Im just saying

  • Shayla says:

God some of you antiPETA’s are really taking this too far. There are political cartoons in the newspaper every week. We are just adding humor to what we believe in. I’m sorry that you are so incompetant to where you can’t relize the pain you put cows through when you milk them. Soy is healthier it tastes sweeter and it does no bodilyor mental harm to any animals including ourselves. So what is the problem if we want to stop animal cruelty? Most people who are against PETA are just power hungry and strive to work over anyone who belives anything different from what they want you to believe. I’d rather drink soy that is good for me and that does no harm to a producer than to drink milk which the process of milking can put the cow in painand leave sores milk will also put an emphasis on future heart problems. Soy brings joy.

  • Mike Quinoa says:

Mary So you’re saying that soy gives Santa an erection?

  • Jim says:

Now Milk causes cancer. Everything else does. Get a grip PETA. You’re stretching it now.

  • Whitney says:

Why do all you antiPETA idiots “waste” your time reading and posting your crap on the PETA site?? If you need something to do find a therapist you need one. Like I said before keep up the good work PETA.

  • Mary says:

Soy has chemicals that mimic estrogen. The out come is likely the opposite of this ad.

  • Mike Quinoa says:

Kristen said “The ad is funny but if you do your research on Soy Milk it has actually be linked to Alzheimer’s in men .” Can you cite me a reference on that statement since I’ve read soy actually helps prevent Alzheimer’s. Thanks.

  • Jack Degerlia says:

Holly Write and available at WalMart yippie! WalMart Talk about Not treating things well…Talk to an employee they treat them like Shit! And Have you looked around a WalMart? They sell LOTS of MEAT! And LOTS of LEATHER PRODUCTS. Shame on you Holly for entering such a place.

  • rojo says:

warwak cartoon? No my knowledge comes from my dad being a former dairy farmer my cousins being dairy farmers and friends being sucessful dairyfarmers in various places around the world. The love is there intelligence too. Mate you need a better info source.

  • Mike Quinoa says:

Fred I understand that you may not want to go vegan but when you say a vegan diet doesn’t work for you have you ever given it a serious shot?

  • Jaclyn says:

I knew you would come through Dr. Cochran!! o I’m not into eggs though… free range or not. I got grosed out in biology when I was in high school. Thanks for your comments!

  • Nikki says:

i can’t figure out what “Vagetarians” is supposed to imply?? I’m so surprised that so many antiveganantianimal rights people post on here. But I understand it’s for the same reasons I post things on republicanconservative websites. Anyhoo it’s always the same thing…yada yada yada…bottom line either you think it’s possible that animals percievefeel pain or you think it’s impossible which contradicts every credible scientific study on pain perception in animals ever conducted…OR you simply don’t give a shit like you don’t give a shit about AIDS or genocide in Darfur or homeless people or any injustice or suffering that WE HAVE THE INTELLIGENCE TO STOP. Quit pretending like we are entwined in the circle of wildlife still no one is biologically predispositioned to eat animals many civilizations have survived perfectly fine on vegan diets…stop using that argument PLEASE…be smarter than that! Veganism is a philosophy that is parallel to the foundation of thought that moving towards compassion is imperitive for successful human evolution. Either you buy it or you don’t…but think about this In the 40′s and 50′s civil rights for black people was just as radical as animal rights is today…these stories of oppression whether it be women blacks jews gays..or animals are all fundamentaly the same so ask yourself which side are you on?? btw…very funny ad stop being so serious people!

  • Kristen says:

The ad is funny but if you do your research on Soy Milk it has actually be linked to Alzheimer’s in men which is a big downfall to it not to mention the various other bacterias in it that are linked to many other diseases. Just figured i would let people in on that.

  • luna says:

    that made me laugh

  • kanne says:

I don’t think there is anything wrong with soy milk. but this is a terrible ad. talking about Santa and impotence…. last thing a parent wants if for their kid to run across this ad and then ask why Santa is impotent and what that means etc.

  • Warwak says:

Rojo said “vacuum hoses and sensitive teats have you seen a calf suckle? A milking machine would be pure joy in that regard” watch the banned cartoon “Milking Time” youtube.comwatch?vedi6Ehw5OPk I have 2 questions Where is the intelligence? Where is the love?
