Road to the Greenhouse!

Written by PETA | January 10, 2008

If you’ve ever felt like politicians are just a bunch of vegetable puppets, this video will be all the confirmation you need. This idea came into existence a few months ago when a meeting about something else entirely degenerated into a contest to see who could come up with the funniest vegetable-themed name for a presidential candidate. A joint project with our friends at Free Range Studios, Road to the Greenhouse brings Broccoli Obama, Celery Clinton, Dijon McCain, Fruity Giuliani and a whole cast of politicians to life to debate one of the most important issues facing our country today: Is it time we gave peas a chance?

This one has been a major undertaking, but I’m completely in love with the way it turned out. I hope you like it too.

Mike is right this is pure genius. My husband and I were invited to a dinner and fund raiser to meet Rep. and Mrs. Kucinich we had a wonderful time they had a spread of more Vegan foods than we could eat our favorite was the tamale wrapped in seaweed there is no better feeling than being around people such as yourself you feel at home and I am not a real people person. Kucinich would be a great leader and he is 100 on Animal Welfare and both are Vegans what more could you ask for. I also had on my PETA button that says “Meat is Murder” it went over very well. Vote Kucinich Strenght through Peace.

You can’t beat the irony either considering the complete absence of work done to reduce greenhouse gasses. Nice metaphor.

    “Peas vote for me!”

  • Caboose says:

  • Elaine Vigneault says:

Weird. I think it’s pretty funny but it’s definitely weird.

Hilarious! I like Mitt Hominy and John McCantalope better. Dijon is not a food and ramen doesn’t seem very healthy or environmentally friendly.
