World’s Cutest Protest

Written by Michelle Kretzer | July 13, 2012

When Gladys Bleakney’s home-daycare class in Ottawa, Ontario, learned that the turtles and frogs in their favorite pond were under siege by people who were catching and eating them, the children took matters into their own tiny hands. The world’s cutest demonstration was born:

The kids believe that, just like people, all animals have feelings and deserve respect. The future looks bright for animals.

I love the fact that we are teaching our children to stand up for what you believe in! This is a great age to teach our children that they matter and no matter how small or big you have a voice.

I find it very interesting that preschoolers can recognize the pain and suffering that the animals go through in the food business, and most of us adults don’t. I agree with the caption saying, “The future looks bright for animals.” because it truly does. With the fact of preschoolers recognizing this, and how wrong it is, I know that they will join the fight to stop animal marketing.

“If we are not raising new generations to be better stewards, then there is no hope” ~Dr Jane Goodall. I now see hope and it is so beautiful! Way to go to their parents as well for raising your children with love and compassion to all animals!!!!
