Photo of the Day: Turkey Gets the Drop on Drivers

Written by Michelle Kretzer | November 20, 2012

peta2 turned Los Angeles’ 101 highway into the freeway of love for turkeys. A group of precocious pilgrims and one tenacious turkey asked rush-hour drivers to bury the hatchet:

Show turkeys some love this Thanksgiving. Drop the pedal and go, go, go get yourself a delicious Tofurky roast.

MeGustaCarne: Your lack of compassion is the reason this world is such a mess. How many humans think ONLY of themselves, bunch of selfish, greedy, uncaring humans. We have wars because we think only of ourselves and children die of starvation and bombs, and animals suffer each moment and the list of depravity is endless and all because of people like you. Me, me, me, me……when will you start thinking of someone besides yourself?

  • Linds says:

Do you still do things like these in Norfolk VA???

  • Eimear says:

@MeGustaCarne you do realise your on the PETA website? Of course there is going to be encouragement to go veggie on this site. And if you really are a meat lover than you should love your meat enough to care about where it comes from, and if you care about that, you wouldnt eat it in the first place.

  • MeGustaCarne says:

Whats wrong with Turkey? Tastes way better the Tofurkey. And also, please, please, PLEASE, don’t be so pushy to a meat-lover like me. I respect your opinion, but I’m not going to be a vegetarian. I ran into 3-4 of what I guess you could call a lobbyist for peta, and they are very, very annoying. Please, i don’t care if you guys and gals go vegetarian, but stop trying to tell me what to do.
