New Radiohead Album!

Written by PETA | October 11, 2007

I get to write about this because Thom Yorke, in addition to fronting the greatest band in the history of the world, is an ethical vegan. So take note — go vegan and your band could be the next Radiohead (there may be a few steps in between.)

Anyway, in case you missed it, the amazing new Radiohead album came out yesterday, and their innovative approach to releasing it (you can download it for any price you care to pay for it on their website) has people in the Marketing world talking up a storm, (and a few record industry execs getting pretty nervous). Maybe there is something to the theory that vegetarians are smarter . . .

I’ve been annoying my colleagues all day talking about this album, so I’ll let the subject go for the time being and leave you with this excerpt from a video that Thom Yorke made a while back to encourage young people to think critically about the ethics of what they’re consuming. You can download the whole documentary that this was a part of here.

Good article, I always loved their music and knowing Yorke is a vegan makes them even cooler. Maybe not the greatest band EVER but they rock.

  • Mark says:

Essimistic is not a word. Obviously your inability to spell shows how we as vegans are smarter than you.

This album rocks!!! Get it!!! It is mellow mood music but they are always awesome! Didnt know they were vegan but that is awesome too!

Yes Bob the study shows that vegans are more likely to detest pessimistic overly pretentious personalities than nonvegans Silly man! If you knew anything about animal rights advocates you would know that we are anything but pessimistic. And pretentious? Hardly. We are not the ones who have to constantly brag about our qualifications and individual accomplishments. We are a group of people who for the most part are selfless and compassionate. We do not do this for the glory or the money. We do this because somebody has to speak up for animals. I did not know that the lead singer from Radiohead was vegan excellent to know!

i found a study that shows a strong correlation between vegans and essimistic overly pretentious personalities.
