Michael Kors and Rachel Zoe Channel PETA

Written by PETA | August 10, 2010

A photo essay in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar features celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe—whose catch phrase is “I die”—being knocked off by various designers. We were struck by how easily the photo in which infamously furry Project Runway judge Michael Kors “bags” Zoe could be mistaken for a PETA ad:

I thought PETA had the market cornered on using corpses to highlight the fact that fur—and all animal skins—are dead, as in this spooky PETA ad featuring former Twin Peaks star Sheryl Lee:

Thanks, Michael, for helping make the case for us. Maybe this is the first step toward bagging fur and exotic skins.

Promoting the murder of women as sexy is great as long as animals don’t die!

When these airheads that try to be fashionable stop buying Michael Kors then he will stop using fur. The cure to this is not in a plea to compassion because neither he nor Zoe have any. The cure is to stop buying their products. Stop buying Harper’s Bazaar magazine and Michael Kors merchandise. That is the cure to get them to stop using fur. Boycott!!!!!!

  • CIRCUSFAN says:

If you really want to go after the circuses and bring them to a halt one way is that all the drivers also work during setup and teardown during the show and then drive a clear violation of how many hours a driver can be on duty and also drive. Also Carson and Barnes for example withholds more money in taxes than it reports on the employees withholding statements W2s. They are in fact stealing from their employees. A clear violation and crime. That is why they hire almost exclusively immigrants from Peru and Mexico these people dont know any better. They dont realize they are getting screwed. Not to mention the “NonProfit” elephant ark foundation which is rife in corruption as almost everyone in the buisiness knows. If they ever have to open the books on the “ARK” as they call it… JAIL TIME. Al Capone did’nt go to jail for murder he did time for tax evasion and tax fraud. If you really want to get these people go after them where it hurts. Or if you are just trying to maintain your lifestyle by donations and dont reallly care by all means keep doing what you are doing.

Because I can Salvatore Pavone. And so long as it’s legal I see no logical reason to stop. Special interest groups such as your own will not earn my dollar.

  • Carla says:

fk fur!!!!!!!!!! And banning designers to use it… and I am spreading the word about it…!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Salvatore Pavone says:

Why would want to hurt an innocent animal to look prestigious? Hey these poor animals cannot speak for themselves so I will say STOP. Why would you kill for such a frivolous reason?
