Matador Meets Karma: Graphic Goring Caught on Tape

Written by PETA | May 24, 2010

I would have liked to have titled this blog “Bull: 1, Matador: 0,” but unfortunately, in the world of bullfighting torturing, even when the bull wins, he loses. Even though he clearly won this “fight,” the bull in the below video was reportedly killed by other matadors after running a horn through one bullfighter’s throat.

Warning: Graphic video below.

You can see still photos on The Huffington Post.

The matador, Julio Aparicio, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but is expected to recover. Wish we could say the same for the bull.

Let this serve as a reminder: Never book a trip to Spain that includes tickets to a bullfight. Better yet, don’t book a trip to Spain at all until it abolishes this abomination (unless you plan to participate in an anti-bullfighting protest, of course).

Sorry to ask, but does anyone know what exactly happened to the bull? It would be good material for my bullfighting protest.

I support the Bull. I DON’T like humans unless I am related and even then its a push or have been able to make good lifelong friends with. I don’t feel any pity for any human that hurts an animal for sport or fun or whatever it is called these days. People avoiding going to SpainJapanCanada are you going to not come to the UK because of America’s greed? I know a change of subject but BP outlined the faults but the US were yelling ” drill drill drill” and the UK is on its knees because of America. Think before you do things. Britain will rule the world again and you will all regret it.

  • Ness says:

Any “man” who thinks that torturing an animal will make him more of a “man” is nothing more than a common coward hiding behind the weak intelligence of the animal he want’s to torture. There is a special place in Hell for this unrepentant viscious and egotistical excuse for a human being. Too bad he’s not made it to that place in hell yet.

I’m Spanish and when a douchebag like this gets what he deserves it’s the best sensation to me

  • Elazanna says:

Also those of you who aren’t Brits think about boycotting Britain too if we go ahead and bring back hunting with dogs. I’m am horrified to have to say it but a repeal of the hunting ban is going up for vote in the house of commons We must speak out against this now!

  • João Henrique Stecca Os says:

Bullfighting? … thats stupidfighting and if you think that’s legitimated because of the tradition then you’re more stupid than the “matador” on the video. GO BULL!!!

  • Richard Elliott says:

I am sooo pleased to see this on Peta’s site. When I saw it first I was just so proud of this bull. I heard this being reported on the radio in the and it was like the bull had attacked the guy out of the blue! I hope the guy has to be fed thro a tube for the rest of his natural.

I do not agree with what some people are saying that THIS practice will never STOP. If we get together we have the power to put an end to this CRUELTY and horrible practice “Bullfightting”. If we have the power to fight for human rights we can also fight for animal rights and make this practice to STOP. I agree there are many Spanish people who are compassionate not all are the same. THis practice is not also practiced in Spain buy also in Latin America. Of course this practice was brought by the Spanish at the time of the HORRENDOUS and BARBARIQUE COLONIZATION. It is out of my understanding how fun and entretaining can something that bloody be. Maybe some kind of sick mind?
