Lowe’s Annual Meeting Gets Sticky

Written by PETA | May 29, 2009

Our campaign to convince Lowe’s to stop selling glue traps is stuck in high gear. Recently, a woman dressed as a mouse stuck on a glue trap stopped traffic in Yakima, Washington.

Then PETA member Stewart David requested that state officials in North Carolina investigate Lowe’s bogus claim that its glue traps somehow “anesthetize” captured animals.

And in Charlotte, North Carolina, Lowe’s shareholders gasped at the sight of our “dying mice,” who were struggling to escape a giant glue trap beside a sign reading, “Lowe’s: Stop Torturing Animals!

Lowes

Lowes

Maybe pressure from shareholders will convince Lowe’s to finally join Rite Aid, Safeway, CVS, and other big names that have taken the torture devices off their store shelves.

Mary – It’s glue. To represent the glue traps that Lowe’s sells.

  • Mary says:

What is that sticky stuff in pic 1

  • Amy says:

Try as you may I highly doubt the small group of narrow minded people that will stop shopping at Lowe’s because of your efforts will effect their multi billion dollar company. I do not agree with animal cruelty but I also do not want my children going into a store that is infested with mice and birds.

  • tim says:

It’s not all bad looks like those mice have been eating well.

  • Margarita says:

I guess there’s no need for extreme nudity especially if there might be children walking by.

  • Saucy says:

Hey James? Ever heard of the MEN IN BLACK. Coming soon to a town near YOU!

What about Home Depot? They should be included in this protest.

  • Brien Comerford says:

The supposedly enlightened and humane Obama Administration should ban glue traps. Democrats have a grand opportunity to help the animal kingdom in so many ways without offending their voters.

  • Brad says:

Oh my god!! Nudity!!! Why do breasts offend people? I really don’t understand. Anyway I think this was an awesome protest.

  • Anderson says:

Why is it that the “Mice” are topless? and in the second photo there is nudity
