This Lady’s Gaga for Veggie Dogs

Written by PETA | August 19, 2010

According to The Smoking Gun Lady Gaga’s caught in a new romance, and this one ain’t so bad. The website got its hands on Gaga’s latest concert rider, and the newest addition to it is a request for Yves vegan hot dogs. Maybe she’s trying to do right by Miss Piggy after wearing her boyfriend as a coat.

Yeah so Lady Gaga ate some veggie dogs cause she thought they were tasty and all these people were like “oh Lady Gaga what a great woman! She eats veggie dogs so she must be a vegetarian!” without of course reading the rest of the rider deli tray sliced turkey or chicken. And now she wears a MEAT dress with a matching hat and boots! What do you all have to say about that now? I know she’s still a vegetarian in your book because she likes veggie dogs and of course she didn’t EAT her meat dress she just WORE it. S That’s just sick people.

  • Jim says:

“Meat Dress” at MTV’s Video Music Awards last nightand nothing on Peta’s website about this? PETA you have GOT to contact this woman. I used to be a big fan and also admired her voice for moral advocacy on human rights issues. This is becoming a very big very visible problem though. I have a hunch this is more simple ignorance and stupidity on her part rather than conscious hardline callous intent. I think if you could actually communicate with her about the horrible messages of callousness and cruelty this is sending you might be able to get her working with you on this. But if not PLEASE address this directly at some time in the near future This “meat dress” publicity stunt is all over the news todayand it’s strange to find PETA’s usually strong and clear moral voice on this so silent. Thanks!

  • Cattie says:

Mm. She’s lauded in this post but I’ll bet Peta isn’t too happy with Gaga after the meat bikini incident…

  • aldoro says:

  • pam says:

there is not a celebrity out there that has any influence on me or my children what so ever. especially the freak lady gaga. taken care of your animals is just common sense. and to eat meat or not to eat meat. then thats just a matter of preference. you donot have to have a celebrity to tell you what to eat what to wear or who to vote for. use your own brain people and your own common sense. you’ll see its not that hard. we are having a real problem in this country with people abusing animals and people letting “celebrities” be an influence on their lives. celebrities could care less about the common man. peta we are here for the sake of the animals not what lady gaga or anybody else in the public eye is doing. celebrities are the biggest fools on the planet. everything they do is about themselves. lets keep it real peta.

  • Janet Kalmadge says:

Yes count me in concerning the people who kill animals. I have felt for a long time that the same should be done to them. ASAP!

  • vivian Oxford says:

Animal rights people are grateful for the entertainers who publicly speak for the used and abused animals. God bless you Lady Gaga.

  • Donna says:

Too bad they are filled with msg poison!!!

  • Ariannah says:

I agree with the person above anyone who hurts or kills animals should have the same done to them.

  • Michele Stipe says:

Personally I think she’s just doing this for more popularity for one. she takes drugs and I’m not so certain I believe she’s a true vegan. Maybe I’m wrong and good for her if it’s all true but I do serious have my doubts

  • karen says:

gaga can do no wrong glad she picked up the veggie food

  • Kari says:

Deli tray with assorted meats she asked for. so why you giving her cred for the hotdogs?

  • michelle nichols says:

what the hellis she wearing a buch of eletricail cords an a busted unbrealla? kodos for the vegan thing thou.

  • Suz says:

I think she’s kind of a fruitcake but I know a lot of people like her and I have to give her cred for doing the anticruelty thing and being sure people know about it. Celebrity endorsement can only be a good thing!

  • Ruth says:

Good for you Lady Gaga you will feel better because eating the vegan way is the best way. God holds us accountable for how we treat animals.

  • Karoly says:

Good Lady Gaga fight for animal rights!!! Good…

  • RagDoll says:

if she is so influential and wants to do good she should start by not poisoning herself with drugs like she mentioned on a magazine article. Hypocrisy!

  • Gabby says:

The VeggieDogs is a great plus I hope she will one day exclude the Meats Chicken Fish and have a COMPLETE vegetarian list. But Lady Gaga is EXTREMELY popular and influential. Hopefully this will give other people insight and make them want to try animal friendly products.

  • Cindy G. says:

Lady Gaga thank you every thing you dosaycreate influences others…anything we can all do for animals …every little bit helps Lord God please hear our pain for your beings and bring them freedom happiness and peace

  • AKM says:

  • soledad says:

Totally unrelated I didn’t know where else to post this but I was interested to see this interview about zoo conditions in the Colbert Report rather funny too. It was a nice thing that they brought attention to a very serious issue without losing their sense of humor. Would like to see this discussed more on TV!! Thanks.
