KFC’s Double Down: Quadruple the Cruelty

Written by PETA | April 12, 2010

The saturated fat and cholesterol in KFC’s Double Down begins clogging arteries and potentially decreasing life expectancies nationwide in just a few days. The sandwichvilest food product created by man,” consists of bacon and cheese sandwiched between two fried chicken breasts, and according to KFC, is only 540 calories—and 32 g of fat, and 1,380 mg of sodium.

With two chicken breasts, cheese, and bacon, the Double Down means quadruple the Kentucky Fried Cruelty for animals, and it could mean quadruple bypasses for consumers since the consumption of animal fats has been linked to heart disease. So as KFC debuts its artery plug on a sans bun, PETA will begin touring the country with our anti-KFC hearse, which will make its first stop in KFC’s hometown, Louisville, Kentucky.

Hearse

Keep your eyes peeled, the hearse could be coming to a Kentucky Fried Cruelty near you!

I tried it for the first time today. I thought it was awesome. I won’t be dying from it because I hardly ever eat KFC.

  • jtx says:

BullyDawg Where’s the 4th animal? Remember the chicken breasts are made from chicken too not just the eggs and I’m pretty sure the chicken breasts were already counted in the list of animals in this thing

  • againstjapanesewhaling says:

has anyone heard of the comic book called death note? death note is about a college student in possession of a notebook that will kill anyone who has their name written inside it. i think that kfc posseses many many and many copies of these articular notebooks

  • Emily H. says:

I def. agree that we need a veggie fast food restaurant! KFC and other fast food rest. alike are just plain disgusting and need to be obliterated point blank. Of course I will be laughing on at the people who are having quadruple byspass surgery from all the nasty crap they eat. It serves them right and they deserve to suffer just as the poor animals that had to suffer so they could have a stupid hamburger and fries.

  • Anca says:

hey ya. i’m from romania..and i saw that vid. ive almost cried. KFC exists heretoo..and i hate it!!

  • Jordan says:

Ok… I am a high school junior and in my English 11 class we have talked about this very sandwich for the past two days. We have one teacher who is vegan and i am veggie. and the main teacher of that class likes to poke fun at us. He even had the nerve to bring on to class and set it right between me and the other teacher. I was throughly disgusted… That teacher insists on picking on all vegan and veggie students and teachers at out school. That sandwich looks disgusting and i hope that the people who sit there and eat them get very fat and terrible sick.

  • Jake says:

That sandwich or whatever it is sounds like it would taste so good! I am going to go out and get one right now… two pieces of chicken with bacon and cheese… mmm… bacon is the best. I think this site is good though there are nicer ways to kill chickens.

  • Matt says:

I ate one of these yesterday because the advertising got to me. It was very good but very fatty. I will not eat another one. It is not as big as they claim either.

  • Jacob says:

I admit it I can’t wait until this starts killing people. Someday we shall read in the newspaper and in this very blog that people are dying from this very sandwich and then its sales will triple because a vast majority of Americans are mentally retarded. And when a sandwich causes a death spree that will be the time to strike. Come to think of it how come I don’t see your PSAs everywhere like the antidrug ones?

  • Andrea says:

this is why I don’t eat out in fast food places and lately I haven’t been eating meat once it’s been a year I can proudly call myself a vegetarian

  • Tbird-Timtally says:

Thats hilarious too bad the col. aint alive to see this monsterous creation oh wait he died choking on chicken and too much KFC consumption.

  • John J says:

I agree great idea! Two breast are better than one.

  • Alba says:

I love this idea it’s wonderful! This kind of work should be done with the other fast food restaurants like Mcdonnalds burger king wendys etc…there should be a law banning these kinds of places!

  • AmyT says:

and to think animals died a horrific death for this monstrosity. This is so disgusting.

  • keira says:

wow 4 animal products in one burger? my question why? Why has noone made a vegan fastfood option? PETA do you have enough funds do start a chain or is anyone interested in starting one? If you can’t start one in America why not Australia?

  • kristen reed says:

wow thats a totally amazing idea.im a meat eater as of right now.i understand chicken tastes delicious but why would someone want to eat that? animals should have rights.there gods creation too not just placed here to be put on our menu! excellent idea! please make one for chik filamy ex bf works there. they are just as bad

  • Kathy says:

    gross…

  • MH says:

I know a lot of meat eaters who find that disgusting. That says something.

  • john says:

is KFC the only company selling chickens?? purdue popeyesbellevans and a thousand others ?

  • Tiffany says:

OMG I just saw the picture of it. I remember reading about it on runnersworld.com but I figured someone had to be kidding me. Who would actually want to eat that much meat in one sitting? I’m recently veg so I understand chicken tastes good I used to eat it but only meat and grease? Yuck. How could someone even think this would be a good idea?

  • Kyla says:

Good idea! But I live in Canada maybe have one about the seal slaughter in canada? That would be great.

  • Stephanie says:

I think this is a wonderful idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sarah perryman says:

Wish you could drive over to Wales UK! Fab idea!

  • Jean says:

It’s also 4 times the contribution to global warming. If people have to eat meat then it should only be 34 times a week… not 34 times a day. I hope this revolting concoction doesn’t travel the pond to here in the UK.

  • Cin Pineda says:

We want HEALTHIER fast food choices! Stop creating choices that will clog our arteries!!

  • Danielle says:

yeah I saw the picutre of the sandwich on yahoo…I almost threw up in my mouth when I saw it..totally disgusting. I think my arteries may have twitch too at the sight of it lol. I can’t believe that people are coming up with these ideas for food it’s like how gross and fat can you be?

  • Christine says:

And we Americans wonder why so many of us have a fat ass!

  • Elizabeth says:

KFC’s hometown is Corbin KY. Im from corbin and thats where the original KFC is… so I think that should be the first stop. I think this is such a good idea

  • BullyDawg says:

Don’t forget the mayonnaisebased sauce made from eggs. That makes FOUR animalbased ingredients so it truly IS “quadruple”cruelty!
