Jane Velez-Mitchell Goes After Go Daddy, NIH

Written by PETA | April 1, 2011

Tonight, on her CNN Headline News show, PETA pal Jane Velez-Mitchell is going after gun-slinging Go Daddy CEO Bob Parsons. Jane will be hosting PETA campaigner Ashley Byrne, who will talk about Parsons’ gunning down of an elephant in Zimbabwe, although anyone who is smart enough to pronounce the words “bloodthirsty millionaire CEO” can see that there are many ways to keep elephants from getting into villagers’ crops that don’t involve violence.

Also on tonight’s show, True Blood‘s Kristin Bauer will talk with Jane about a group of 14 chimpanzees who were “retired” to New Mexico’s Alamogordo Primate Facility after years of torment in cruel experiments, only to be dragged back to a laboratory by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to be used in more invasive tests. PETA and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine are working to get the animals retired for good.

Issues With Jane Velez-Mitchell airs tonight on CNN Headline News at 7 p.m. ET. If you take issue with cruelty to animals like Jane does, send an e-mail to Bob Parsons telling him you won’t be using Go Daddy’s services until he agrees to stop blowing away animals. And tell the NIH and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that the Alamogordo chimpanzees need to retire right now.

Looks like this egoistical scum Bob Parsons will lose a lot of customers. He deserves to lose those customers. Elephants are VU (threatened) and the elephant’s life should be more precious than human life because the’re are over 6.9bi people on Earth. With a biocentric view I have, rare species should more precious than human life. We’re abundant and those species are RARE. Thing about people saying animal are overpopulated is total bogus is just an excuses hunters uses to mislead the public and geta way. They look overpopulated because we’re shrinking their habitats so hunters will slowly wipe out elephants for more habitat for people. Hunters and other hick sportsmen have a history to wipe out species so they should NEVER be trusted. People should look at their numbers and their egoistical behaviors for a minute before preaching at wildlife. Man are among the most irresponsible species on Earth. We’re worst than rats. PS Jane is a wonderful and warm hearted woman devoting her time to help wildlife.

If I used Go-daddy for my webhosting…I would certainly cease immediately. I am thankful that I have not been giving my money to fund such atrocities as these. I have been spreading the word about his actions on twitter and FaceBook and will continue to do so. I applaud you PETA for taking this action.

Don’t know what Go daddy is and now I especially don’t want to know. I did see the goof-ball’s picture and heard his reasoning on Jane Velez-Mitchell’s show. He looked pretty proud of himself standing by the dead creature. What’s really happening is that the coward is covering up his love for killing with the pretense that he’s helping these villagers. Why not just donate money to the people to help instead of this convoluted excuse. I noticed he used the word “cull” for what he did to this elephant. Just call it what it actually is – killing. This obnoxious people will just keep at it until we don’t have any animals any more – esp. the “trophy” ones. He’s the grim reaper that travels the world to destroy problem animals in order to supposedly help people. In reality, he doesn’t give a crap about the people; he just gets off killing a large animal. I hope his business goes down the toilet…

A simple search for “Kill Elephants in Zimbabwe” turns up multiple results for a paid hunt. I wonder how much Parson paid to go on this HUNT? He states that the starving people of Zimbabwe asked him to hunt the elephants. Perhaps they make more from appealing to the likes of Parson than they do from farming. This service is $7800 for a 10 day hunt: This is one (it pictures a similar photo to Parson’s; A man with a dead lion). What humane options would have been available at that price? The problem, I suspect, is that a more humane option wouldn’t have landed him the opportunity to be photographed with his kill.

Please post the information about Parsons on your FB page as well. We need to get the word out about Parson’s behaviour in many corners as possible, so that ethical consumers know that they’re funding this type of killing spree when they use GoDaddy’s services.

Jane is compassionate, beautiful and outspoken—a true voice for the voiceless.

  • Guleed says:

Go daddy sucks! u suck! HAHA APRIL FOOLS

  • Madison says:

Parson’s should be shot down like the elephant he killed. This was a self-serving action and Parson needs to be stopped.
