‘Give BP the Bird’

Written by PETA | June 11, 2010

The suffering that is being caused by the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico is heartbreaking, and this brand-new PETA T-shirt speaks volumes about the crisis.

Give BP the Bird

The most valuable thing about this touching, tell-it-like-it-is T-shirt and related merch is that the proceeds will go toward PETA’s work to save wildlife from all sorts of horrors. So, for the love of Kevin Costner and wildlife in peril, buy a T-shirt and give BP a piece of your mind at the same time.

i’m sick about this whole situation and angry that Obama’s administration doesn’t think it’s enough of a priority to put it above cramming healthcare down our throats. His address on TV tonight is just more hot air he’s needs to force all government run agencies to get down there and clean it up and save our animals and the jobs of thousands of Americans.

The shirt is an awesome expression of the public’s anger and outrage at BP’s bungling and the fact they seem more worried about their public image than the damage they have done to the planet and everything living. I am buying a shirt AND will be wearing it. As I’m in Florida there will be plenty of people asking where to get one. Thank you PETA Thank you to Kevin Costner for using own personal finances to try to clean the oil spill that’s what celebrities should be doing action not talk. I respect what he’s doing to help clean the mess and hope he and his team are successful. I would be quite an accomplishment if his company manages to do what the “leadership” at BP has so far failed to do. When the Exxon Valdez oil spill occurred in 1988 I immediately stopped doing any business with them. Likewise when this occurred I cancelled my BP charge card cut it up and sent it with a short letter stating their actions were unacceptable and I would do no futher business with them. True I am but one “consumer” amongst millions but BP needs to hear this message a million times. TELL THEM PEOPLE!

Why is PETA not all over BP like PETA was all over Mike Vick? I don’t see any protestors other animal rights activists boycotting BP gas stations other BP products. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I am praying and thinking positively about this horrid happening. WE MUST as good Americans think about this clearly….think about how we depend on this sludge to make our lives easier….too easy. we as humans are supposed to be the more intelligent species….I find that difficult in some circumstances such as this. Everyone please pray and think positively that these Oil companies turn around stop this leak and any leak that starts faster. !!! think positive that they will do this.l

BP should be forced to shut down every gas station they run! How is this possible that they poison our world like that and get away with it?!

  • diane moffatt says:

Anyone who still works for BP should feel ashamed of themselves. What kind of person would want to be associated with a company who is willfully murdering 1000s of animals with its incompetance ignorance and egomanical self indulgences. Shame on you BP.

I have a lot of PETA shirts and I bought all of mine. My favorite is the one telling people to bring chained dogs inside. I used to work in a daycare facility for dogs and I wore that shirt 3 or 4 times a week.

obama and the fed agency over seeing rig safety said skip the inspections. drill away! whos going after them?

  • lisa says:

SO depressing. To think this may wipe out the kemp’s ridley turtle altogether as a speciea is Atrocious not to mention the livelihoods of millions of animals.

  • Kiara says:

I realized that people only leave comments on here when they want to win something or get something in return. I love this shirt and a couple of others on the site. I’m going on a shopping spree on PETA site to get some shirts that to me mean something. I’m going to get them and wear them and show them off. I’m also going to take pictures with them and show them to my FB and MYSPACE friends. I think we all need to prove a point and not just on this site but everywhere we need to show people that WE care so that everyone else can care as well. Sometimes people will not do anything because they feel they’re the only one. Thank God I was never a follower but a leader. It’s time to stand up for something that matters.
