Drivers Get Rear-Ended by PETA

Written by PETA | August 3, 2011

Sometimes, when you’re trying to show people the benefits of a vegan diet, you have to get a little cheeky.

These PETA beauties’ bottoms came out on top when Charlotte, North Carolina, residents came out in throngs to take pictures of their thongs. Their supply of hundreds of vegetarian/vegan starter kits was gone before the crowd was, and the ladies had to stay late to accommodate the long line of picture-seekers.

Tired of jiggling when you wiggle? Order a free vegetarian/vegan starter kit and get started trimming your own assets.

I am a proud vegan and self-respecting woman and also a burlesque enthusiast. Despite my view that there is nothing wrong with lingerie or the female body, I am troubled that PETA is absolutely obsessed with thin, scantily dressed women. Plus, vegans come in all shapes and sizes. The distaste for allegedly overweight “wiggly” women expressed here is inappropriate, especially since so many women already dislike their own bodies. This does not help.

As a proud Vegan and a self respecting woman, I find this offensive. Why must PETA continuously use sexist advertising to get a point across?

As a proud vegan and a self-respecting woman, I find this disgusting. Why must we degrade women when fighting for the rights of animals?
