How to Cook Everything Vegetarian

Written by PETA | August 29, 2007

If you’re into food at all then you’ve probably heard of Mark Bittman, author of the New York Times’ “Minimalist” column. But even if you don’t know Bittman by name, I’m sure you’ve heard of his book, How to Cook Everything. It’s been wildly successful because of its relaxed, accessible and realistic approach to everyday cooking. Well, that’s all well and good but it ain’t a vegetarian cookbook, you say. Well, Bittman is just about to release a new book, How to Cook Everything Vegetarian, and it looks pretty darn good to me.

Here’s an interview from Publishers Weekly that explains why Bittman decided to write a vegetarian cookbook.

Give me a fucking break darcy. This is the type of petty bullshit that makes AR people look bad. It’s a blog post about a vegetarian cookbook for Christ’s sake. But you people always find some way to bring it back to the negative.

  • darcy says:

Unfortunately when you click on the link for the book it takes you to is selling dog and cock fighting material on their website and is currently in litigation with the Humane Society of the U.S.. I think it is strange and inappropiate that you would have a link to this site.

anon my guess would be that it wouldn’t touch the sides of your ga. you really should keep your bedroom antics private.

  • EatFresh says:

Why all the hostility on this site? Whats with all of the barking and nashing of the teeth? I’m a vegetarian but that doesn’t mean that I am better than anyone else. I don’t need a soapbox. My good health speaks for me.

The real title should be How to fit a cucumber up my gaping asshole.

observer excellent point. It is hard to know what is genuine support and what is self serving rhetoric.

  • Laura says:

I agree with KathyF and was quite shocked that the link was to that company tbh

  • observer says:

how about being honest here!!! good thing this guy recognized that vegetarians are on the rise but he recognized $$$$$$ for himself with another book. he still eats meat!!!

  • Sancho says:

The first meateater in Europe is France I think directly after the United States just disgusting including foie gras frog legs and snails horrible! In Africa French Legion Men preferred eating monkeys! They really should take their head out from their ass! C’est vraiment honteux! Brigitte Bardot a raison de vous reprocher votre bouffe de viande surtout la viande du cheval!

  • Poodle says:

Is it appropriate to have a link to I thought I just recieved an action call advising to boycott amazon because they sell books and magazines on cockfighting….

  • KathyF says:

“Western Europe is the most disappointing and I think its largely because wealthier countries have the most meat.” I find that to be true. The UK certainly needs to get on the ball with veg food! Your home country has lost its edge I’m afraid.
