Can a Bus Save a Dog’s Life?

Written by PETA | June 6, 2011

Soon, Greyhound might be driving home the message about the importance of spaying and neutering. PETA is asking Greyhound Lines, Inc., to temporarily switch its well-known moniker to “Spayhound” and/or to “fix” at least one of its buses with this dog-friendly message:

One Greyhound bus takes an average of 19 cars off the road. Pretty impressive. But just one spay surgery can prevent 67,000 puppies  from being born—the number of puppies whom a female dog and her generations of offspring can produce in just six years. Really impressive.

We’ve requested a meeting with Grey … er … Spayhound’s CEO, and maybe someday soon, you’ll be able to hop a ride to Fixburg, Mississippi, or Spaykane, Washington. Meanwhile, whether you have a greyhound or a guess-the-hound, please make sure they get their fix.

Thank you PETA for all what you did already… And thank you also for taking care that purebred often enough ill dogs don’t get more. Thank you for all what you did i.e. what you did for the sheep in Australia… nobody had cared and it’s sheep we don’t know so well. If everybody was as engaged as PETA normally is, animal rights would be evident. Animals trust us, they wait for us to feed them and also to give them shelter. Sheep are cute, and dogs? brotheralike? should be! Sheep concerning PETA found it’s compassion and dogs we live together in our families??? I read about euthanasia in pet shelters. First catching then killing – please only catch what you can feed… many rich celebs are members – no money to feed them??? LOL a surrounding to share a shelter to give!!!!!!!! It should be always a compagnionship in which every being has it’s place to live peacefully… if it’s sheep or pets… Looking around there is much work left – makes me awfully sad when I read links about killing animals also when PETA is the one… The abuse of human might is often enough only the restriction of friendship. And they trust you!!!!!

Won’t happen – no business will change their name for the sake of benefitting a group. It’s a good idea as far as spaying a pet, but Greyhound is smart enough to not confuse their public.

If Greyhound put this ad on their bus- I would always give my business to them!
