Adam and Eve speak out for chickens in their first-ever protest in behalf of animals.
Adam and Eve

You didn’t think we meant the couple from the Garden of Eden, did you? Naw. Another young pair, who just happen to be named Adam and Eve, joined other caring individuals in Orlando to school residents about McCruelty McDonald’s. The fast-food giant refuses to improve conditions for millions of chickens, many of whom suffer broken bones or die in vats of scalding-hot water—while they are still conscious—on their way to becoming McNuggets.

One passerby had picked up a copy of our “Vegetarian Starter Kit” earlier in the day. The double-whammy of print and protest made an impact—he mentioned his eagerness to explore vegetarianism.

Do they inject their chicken with hormones and antibiotics too. I am trying to explain to my kids why we should stay away from McDonalds but advertising to kids is so effective it should be outlawed.

  • mc eww says:

i saw this on fox news via a yahoo plug where some mom was pissing on and on about her 11 year old seeing it…of course no one asked the mom what kind of video games and movies she lets her kid watch…although to be fair i am not sure maybe she completely filters violence but i doubt it. the anchor was true to fox style preachy and judgmental. good job to kathy g and to the volunteers for keepin on. the kid learned something new and made an informed choice.

  • Kate says:

I think that PETA has gone way to far!

  • Jerry says:

“if we could see the miracle in a single flower our whole life would change” Spoken thousands of yrs. ago. Life is an incredible miracle yes and chickens have rights too! Beautiful animals that deserve at least a respectful death and honor. “Rise above your animal nature” Gautama Siddartha

  • michelle says:

What kind of person does that say about you Dexter???? I hope your staff knows better. McDonalds is the worst fast food you can get it’s nothing but processed crap. Why on earth would you want to feed your kids this stuff anyways?

  • dexter says:

If my kid is handed your lit I will feed my entire office of 59 staff members chicken Mcnuggets for a week. Give the fliers to parents.

  • chris oliver says:

hey peta leave are meat alone. i dont talk trash about your vegies so why hate? am i really that bad becuse i eat something you dont like?

  • Courtney says:

i definately agree with this protest! i’ve been done with mcdonald’s for about seven years now. some of my family loves it and they joke about me not going but i’m standing for what i believe. i’m glad these guys are protesting too.

  • Vanessa says:

I’ve been a vegetarian for nearly 4 years and I haven’t eaten at the MackShack for 5 so I think it’s awesome what people are doing to show the truth…HOWEVER PETA must remember that being a Vegan is a PERSONAL decision and that they shouldn’t try to convince everyone else to be as well. Show the cruelty work on reform but let people chose whether to eat meat and dairy or not. I eat dairy and because of that I felt alienated at PETA events that I went to

  • Drake says:

I definitely dont aggree with Mcdonalds treatment of animals due to their cruelty but a few protests around the US wont do much unless people stop driving through for their 99 cent mcnuggets and burgers. Why is it cheap? because they dont take the time to kill the animals just drop them into the boiling water and it does the job. Save time save money cheaper mcnuggets. I try to eat local and never fast food. I feel its more effective and i may be wrong.

  • Chelsea says:

To Zachery.. taken it too far? You need to watch a video on chickens being brutally killed for food then maybe you’ll think twice.

  • Kate Leinster says:

Zachery what are you talking about ‘they have gone to far’? They are merely presenting the truth just because this barbaric treatment of animals goes on behind closed doors does not make it any less true. Nowhere do any of the banners say ‘Go Vegan’ or am I McMissin somethin???

  • blr says:

Zachery I don’t think this blog is trying to make anyone become vegan. They stated that McDonald’s refuses to make better conditions for the chickens and then basically torture them more. I am not really opposed to people eating meat and such. I am vegetarian BUT I think that animals could be treated humanely and killed humanely before they are slaughtered or killed. I agree that PETA often does beat people over the head with the whole vegan thing. Not everyone wants to be a vegan and some vegetarian’s like myself are satisfied with giving up meat. But isn’t this PETA’s job? If you don’t agree ok. But don’t expect PETA to not do what they say they are gonna do. Of course they disagree with any type of animal killing torture etc. So of course they would want people to be vegan. I’m not saying it’s right. I’m not saying it’s wrong.

  • Mikey says:

Brian Carla Wilson are outstanding activists. I’ve had the privilege to work with Brian and I personally know how amazing competent and outstanding he is. Seriously they are some of the best one’s PETA has got. Thank goodness for them. A++

  • vegancoin says:

The McCruelty campaign is long overdue good job PETA. People need to realize the cruelty involved with a fast food meal.

  • Loretta says:

I think Mc donalds is very cruel to animals how would you like someone to do the same to you. Animals have feelings just like we do. think about it and remember God don’t like ugly. So be careful how you treat God’s living animals and people.

  • Ashley Voss says:

They’ve inspired me to want to organize a protest.

  • Brien Comerford says:

I’m not ashamed to be a penitent Judeo Christian. When the world was idyllic humans were vegetarian Genesis 129. After mans fall into corruption murder homicide animal genocide and wildlife massacre transpired and continues to perpetuate as we descend into an evil journey into perdition.

  • Sam Michaels says:

Many thanks to Adam Eve for taking a stand against McDonalds! It’s truly sickening and disgraceful that the fast food giant can get away with this. They won’t see a dime from me or my family ever again!

  • Saucy says:

For those of us who are Christian we know how powerful it is to evoke the name of Christ and other Biblical references. We will reach these people by talking to them in a language that they understand. Gently kindly clearly graphically truthfully. We are talking about a group of people who pray for God’s Will in their life. We know that’s God’s Will is LOVE. LOVE of all CREATION. Sadly the devil’s will is to lie to pervert to hate to torture and kill and every cruel and ungodly thing in the earth. That’s why the Bible says we are in a WAR between GOOD and evil. Study everything you can get your hands on with regards to these important and powerful documents. Keep your eye on the prize. Know the Bible sideways and forwards. Ask God in prayer for that special awakening known as the BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT suggested by Christ himself on the day of Pentecost. That is where the POWER is that Christ said he died to leave us that we may accomplish greater things still then he accomplished. We know who the Victor is folks but in wars there is alot of bloodshed and many do not make it out alive.

  • Matt Greenwood says:

Way To Go! PETA! Adam Eve lol

  • payton says:

i dont eat at mcdonalds. And now im never going to. Those evil ppl!! EVERY ANIMAL WILL BE EVENGED! It may be till the day i die that ppl dont stop killing animals but they will be evenged. thats all im sayin.

  • bran says:

I would like to applaud your efforts in showing the public the truth. Many find your methods quite radical but that’s cool. We need that as opposed to sweeping everything under the carpet. The McCruelty campaign is brilliant! Although I understand your concept I do believe that parents have the right to make the decision in showing their children the “unhappy meals”. Young children may totally misunderstand the concept of this. They actually may totally miss the idea of it altogether! Trust me I’m a parent. But man it’s one of the most awesome pieces every! all my best b

  • Susan Duffy says:

That is one fantastic bunch of people WELL DONE. It is long overdue that McDonalds and their old MINDSET be retired. The cruelty to animals for the foodplate of humans is horrific. I am a longtime vegan who works alongside PETA and these caring compassionate people. You make me proud to be a Homo sapien!

  • Zachery says:

I usally agree with peta but this time they have gone too far and need to give this one a rest. please sounds like they want us all to be vegans
