It's National Veggie Dog Day! This means that vegetarians across our great nation are pulling out the charcoal and gathering their friends for a summer feast that they won't soon forget. In honor of this year's "holiday," we assembled several of our nation's finest ladies, including Playboy Playmate of the Year—and stunning vegetarian—Jayde Nicole, on Capitol Hill.
Wearing only a lettuce bikini and her 1,000-watt smile, Jayde helped us get our healthy, humane, and tasty veggie dogs to our nation's finest congressmembers. While serving up the "dogs" to politicians and passersby, Jayde reminded each person that "the best way to safeguard your health, reduce your carbon footprint, save animals' lives, and look your very best is to go vegetarian."
For those of you who can't get enough of Jayde, there are more photos of her after the jump.

OK, well, that's pretty much all that these four lovelies from PETA Asia-Pacific were wearing outside the Manila Zoo, but they certainly drew the crowd's attention to their campaign to improve conditions for animals at the cramped, decrepit zoo.
Thanks go out to these ladies and the rest of the team at PETA Asia-Pacific for their efforts to get the Manila Zoo to shape up its act.

While Santa's making his list and checking it twice, you'd better believe that KFC is getting nothing but coal, coal, and more coal—and PETA's "Sexy Santas" want to make sure that the world knows why! Check us out at our demos handing out info on Kentucky Fried Cruelty!
Santa's not the only one who objects to KFC cruelty, and rightfully so! These bikini-clad hotties certainly didn't get their sexy bods by downing greasy fried chicken loaded with cruelty and cholesterol. These chicks remind everyone to ditch KFC and have a very veggie holiday instead!
It’s a new dawn, people. A fresh, vibrant world full of hope. The storm clouds have dispersed and the sun is shining on a happier future, where anything is possible…
On a trial basis, in the fine city of Philadelphia, 7-Eleven is offering vegan sandwiches.
To celebrate this glorious news, and to help make sure this trial is a big success, PETA dispatched our lovely lettuce ladies to the city last week to offer samples of the tasty meatless sandwiches (varieties include "chicken," "steak," and mock egg salad) to passersby. ‘Cuz that’s just how we roll. Check out the pics, and if you live in Philadelphia, be sure to give the sandwiches a try. Word on the street is that they’re pretty damn good.
Oh, brave new world that hath such people in it.
There’s been so much going on this week that I never got a chance to mention it, but these pictures from the Barry Bonds hearing are just too good to pass up. PETA’s lovely lettuce ladies showed up to hand out faux-turkey sandwiches to bystanders and make the point that if we’re so concerned about hormones and growth-promoting drugs, we probably shouldn’t be eating animals who are pumped full of them in factory farms. I know it’s a wee bit of a stretch to try and connect this important point to baseball, but it’s a lot easier to make those mental leaps when the person making the point is friendly, scantily clad, and offering you lunch. I’m told that the demonstration went over very well, and the sandwiches were universally enjoyed—so nice work, girls. You can read more on the story in USA Today.
