It's the weekend! This little sloth has a great idea for how to spend it.
As vegan eating goes mainstream, delicious new vegan products are popping up in grocery stores like dandelions in summer yards. Here are some of our favorites.
I would love to put Oscar-nominated actor Michael Clarke Duncan up for a VMA, because the gentle giant's new PETA video, in which he talks about why he went vegetarian and how much he loves animals, is my hands-down pick for Video of the Year.

NEW ACTION ALERT
We already know that tobacco is harmful without subjecting more animals to cruel, archaic experiments. Tell the Food and Drug Administration to remove animal tests from its guide on tobacco product testing, especially since previous tests have shown that animals don't even develop the same diseases that human smokers do.

Before you head out to see Justin Theroux's new film, Wanderlust,
check out his PETA anti-chaining public service announcement. In the ad, Theroux

Great Ape Protection and
Cost Savings Act has a new ally—Harry's Law. A recent episode
tackled the issue of whether apes could be defined as persons under the law,
with Kathy Bates' character arguing, "Apes are a lot less inhuman than we
would like to think....There's a qualitative shift happening in the way we view
the animal world, especially when it comes to apes."
Carrie Underwood always views the animal
world as deserving protection. When she spotted an injured dog on the highway, she pulled over, bundled
up the dog, and gently loaded her into the car. After the animal received emergency
veterinary care, Underwood took the dog to her house to recover and cried when
she had to say goodbye after finding the pup an adoptive home.
