Before you head out to see Justin Theroux's new film, Wanderlust, check out his PETA anti-chaining public service announcement. In the ad, Theroux appears alongside his beloved best friend, Pooma (who has since passed away), to urge people to allow their dogs to live indoors:
Elsewhere in Hollywood, Russell Brand is reportedly in puppy love. The Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity alum was spotted cuddling and petting rescued dogs at an adoption event in Beverly Hills.
Fellow adoption advocate Amanda Seyfried gushed about her rescued one-eyed cat, Fran, on Chelsea Lately, while Michael Clarke Duncan filled Jay Leno in on the delish vegetarian dishes that his girlfriend, Omarosa, has been cooking up for him.
What do vampires think about fur? That it sucks, of course. Before you "wha-wha" me, read this: Tweeting about his foundation's anti-fur petition, Ian Somerhalder wrote: "Fur sucks…Really. … Furs: Animals being killed so you can wear your new fox coat …." Is it just me, or does Ian Somerhalder smolder hotter every day?

The Rock and Roll of Fame's Class of 2012 has been announced, and animal-friendly stars will be boogieing in. The Red Hot Chili Peppers earned a spot, but we're wondering if this honor could top the Sexiest Vegetarian of 2008 title that Anthony Kiedis snagged. We'll call it a wash. Guns N' Roses was gunning for a spot and rose to the occasion too. We hope the awards ceremony will be fur-free, since Duff McKagan will be in attendance.
What Morrissey said about having his handsome mug on the new PETA postage really rocks: "I am delighted beyond words to be a PETA postage stamp. The rise and rise of PETA is the rise of common sense in modern society. Join the aims of PETA and join a better world."
Other celebs are rocking the Twitterverse with their awesome animal-friendly tweets:
We love what Eliza Dushku said about Forks Over Knives, the documentary that is changing the way Americans eat. Maybe Emily Blunt watched it? She was spotted at the California vegan restaurant Café Gratitude.
We've been watching adorable Fivel Stewart sporting our "Adopt, Don't Buy" tee on the YouTube channel that she shares with brother, Booboo. Guess respect for animals runs in the family.
Celebrities took to Twitter yesterday to make a huge splash for seals. We asked compassionate celebrity supporters to tweet a message to their fans telling them that the Canadian commercial seal slaughter had begun and including a link to our "It's Time to End the Seal Slaughter" donation page. So many of them responded that our Twitter page looked like an A-list party.
Supporters who spoke up for seals who are bludgeoned and sometimes skinned alive for their fur include Ellen Degeneres, who also posted it on her blog, Pink, Sophia Bush, Daniella Monet, Jayde Nicole, Lea Michele, Vida Guerra, Alicia Silverstone, Dave Navarro, Stephanie Pratt, The Veronicas, Bill Maher, Ian Somerhalder, Diablo Cody, Sasha Grey, and, of course, Honorary PETA Director Pamela Anderson.
Get in on the action! Tweet this link to your Twitter followers: http://bit.ly/gNMLOJ. Or go to our donation page to help stop Canada's barbaric seal slaughter.

The stars are out and shining for animal causes. Here are some of the inspiring things they're doing:
Cosmopolitan magazine just released its list of "Fun, Fearless Males of 2011," and these boys aren't just kind to the eyes, they're kind to animals too.
The Vampire Diaries' smoldering Ian Somerhalder may play a "cold one" on TV, but he won't date a girl who doesn't have a warm heart for animals. The proud pop to three rescued cats says, "I don't care how hot a girl is—if she doesn't like animals, it would be a major, major problem."
And let's gossip for a minute about Penn Badgley's deal-breaker. The Gossip Girl hunk says he can't handle a girl who doesn't love dogs: "I find that if someone doesn't like animals, I am a little suspicious of them." Badgley definitely gets an Easy A from PETA.
PETA pal Chad Ochocinco danced his way onto the list because of his confidence and candor, both of which served him well when he took it all off for his anti-fur ad for PETA.
And the Fun, Fearless Male of the Year? Sexiest Vegetarian in the U.K. Russell Brand, who celebrated Christmas with his wife, Katy Perry, and a Tofurky.
