Football Fans Vote Against Michael Vick

PETA supporters have spoken, and they don't want Michael Vick on the cover of Madden NFL 2012. In the final round of ESPN's video-game cover contest, Vick lost out to the Cleveland Browns' Peyton Hillis.

Hillis' win is a victory for everyone who didn't want to send the message to the millions of children playing the game that someone who has fought dogs is acceptable cover material.

A suspected victim of dogfighting whom PETA staffers were able to rescue with the help of local law enforcement officials.

To continue taking a stand against dogfighting, please contact the Android marketing team and ask it to stop offering the cruel Dog Wars app.

Sorry Niobestarr . What he deserves is forgiveness, but not forgetfulness. Vick is just doing what he thinks we want him to do. And saying what we want him to say. (I still remember his '60 Minutes' interview: he would never look the interviewer in the eye when he was talking about how sorry he was and how bad dog fighting is). Using your logic, we should let out all serial killers out of jail because they say they're sorry. (Remember, Vick horribly murdered at least 6 animals just because they displeased him.) Um, your argument makes no sense. Our judicial system chose not to make him stay in jail for the rest of his life for the murders he committed, it is up to us to remember those he killed, and make sure he never forgets them either.

Sorry Niobestarr. Forgiveness is one thing, and many PETA supporters do -- and I count myself as one of them -- forgive him for what he has done, but I will never, ever forget what he was party to. Using your logic we should let serial killers out of jail because they now say what they did was wrong because they know that's what we want to hear. (Remember, he murdered at least 6 dogs simply because they displeased him. Since the law isn't upholding itself to make him stay in jail for these foul acts for the rest of his natural life, it is up to us to keep at him so that his life is unhappy, just the way he made the short lives of those animals unhappy). He deserves forgiveness, not forgetfulness.

I , too hated Micheal Vic for what he did. However, the Humane Society thought turning Micheal into an animal advocate would send a far better message than simply hating and banishing him from society.
