… peas, love, and understanding? As a fairly decent-size Elvis Costello fan, I can't believe that I didn't know until picking up a recent copy of the New Yorker that The Imposter is a vegetarian—and apparently has been for a couple of decades. He reportedly stopped eating meat and was inspired to write the 1983 protest song "Pills and Soap" ("We're going to melt them down for pills and soap") after watching an animal rights documentary. Can I get an amen for an Elvis-timonial?
