With Pamela Anderson in the Bigg Boss house, we thought that people might like to see some of the hardworking staffers at PETA India who are helping to get the word out about Pamela's worldwide appeal not to wear leather:
When most of us in the U.S. are nestled all snug in our beds, our friends on the other side of the world are working to liberate animals from laboratories, to get schools to cut out dissection, to encourage people to always adopt and never buy dogs, and much, much more.
It's good to know that caring people around the world are fighting against cruelty to animals 24/7. Let's support PETA India's and Pam's efforts by encouraging our friends and family to give leather the boot!

Now that is a good looking group of compassionate people!! Is there anyone like them in England willing to get radical?
Last night I saw a BBC documentary on the deplorable condition of pedigreed dogs in England, and the reason genetically defective animals continue to be bred. Featured was a condition called syringomyopathy, a neurological condition in which the brain is too large for the skull. It primarily affects King Charles Cavalier Spaniels. Imagine having the worst migrane of your life, every day of your life, so painful that you are not able to do anyhing but lie on the floor and scream. Now imagine that you are watching someone you love go through this and you cannot do anything about it. Now imagine the victim is your beloved dog. Like most people you cannot afford the expensive surgical procedures and treatments that only help the pain, not the condition, and you have to put the dog to sleep. You get another spaniel, from a different breeder, only to find they suffer from the same condition....why does this happen? Because the Kennel Club in England allows dogs to be to be bred and shown at Crufts (the premier dog show in England) as long as they look perfect in the ring!! In fact, the winner of this year's Best In Show not only suffers from syringomyopathy but has been operated on for it!!! This dog has fathered numerous litters and passed the condition on!!! This is not the only condition being passed on. The documentary showed photos of what Crufts winners looked like 100 years ago compared to what they look like now...and the contrast was stunning. The dogs that are winning now are deformed cariactures of what the breed once was. PETA members in all countries which show dogs, please help put an end to this. I will pray for this daily.
