Singapore artist Nafe Nanfeng created these moving images and forwarded them to PETA after reading that two slaughterhouses in the U.S. are implementing a slaughter method called "controlled-atmosphere killing" (CAK), which will greatly reduce the suffering of countless birds who are killed to become drumsticks.
The sky's the limit when it comes to ways to get the word out. You can use art, fashion, correspondence, leaflets, or just about anything else you can think of—that list could stretch from Dallas to Denver. No matter what methods you use, please always—and often—create opportunities to inspire people to choose compassion over killing.

People dont seem to realize that chickens need just as much help as animals used for fur and other foods. We are so accustomed to brushing them off our shoulders, but we need to speak up!! If they wont use more humane ways to kill chicken, then boycott meant altogether!!!!!
Its better to show a live animal than a dead one cause people may understand more.
I used to have companion chickens. When I went out into the backyard, they were obviously so happy to see me. They'd run up to me, clucking.
It makes me so sad to see chickens suffer. If people realized how gentle and sweet chickens can be I doubt we'd be harming them. All animals deserve happiness.
The text in the pictures read:
You wouldn't do this. It's cruel, inhumane, and even insane. But when you choose to eat chicken meat, you're doing the same thing - taking a life. Not killing the chicken yourself doesn't make you any less guilty. And it's not like chickens are reared and killed more humanely in the hands of farm factories. Chickens go thru hellish conditions such as excrement-filled and cramped breeding spaces. Remember, each time you choose to eat chicken - you say yes to cruelty, yes to taking a life.
@Gina: Fried Chicken
It is very true that a picture is worth a thousand words..so powerful..sometimes you have to put it bluntly like this for people to make the connection.
Love the artwork! It shows people what they are really eating. It's like people see a chicken finger or wing and forget it was once living because it doesn't look like a chicken any more. But it WAS once a living thing and people need to wake up and see that.
Very powerful pictures. Are there larger versions anywhere? I'd like to read the text.
Wow im so loving this. People should know what really goes on.
That does get the word out. However, what's up with the one with the bird in the fries if fries are made from potatoes...not chicken! Am I missing something here?
I have no words to say
