Win It Wednesday: 'No Animals in Here' Lunch Bag

School isn't all bad—we promise! (And please keep reading even if you aren't a student.) School provides a great opportunity to show your friends and teachers the benefits of a vegan diet.

You can also send out a positive message for animals (and the environment) by taking your lunch to school in PETA's "No Animals in Here" lunch bag. This "Win It Wednesday," you can snag a bag of your own just by sharing your fave vegan lunch idea with us. The idea that makes our mouths water the most will win. Need inspiration? Haven't set foot in school since Nixon was president? Don't worry. You're eligible to win too—just tell us the best vegan lunch to pack for work or for sitting at the senior center.The contest ends on September 22, 2010, and we'll select the winners on September 24, 2010. I am a mom who is back to school finishing my BA in Psychology. My favorite Vegan lunch to bring is Tofurky and tomato on whole wheat bread pasta salad with black olives peppers grape tomatoes organic salad beans onions and italian dressing and a side of fruit!

I usually bring raw zucchini pasta some bananas maybe raw cookies or baked muffins that I've made D This week I made double chocolate chip caramel muffins! Gluten sugar soyfree!

I am a high school teacher. I would love to put this in the fridge so that the other teachers could see this message!!! This will be a great way to carry my vegan lunch to work. Favorite lunch is a tofurky sandwich with vegan yogurt and fruit. I bet I'd get remarks and I could certainly start conversations about veganism with it! On my way to work the students waiting outside the school would be able to notice it as well. They always ask questions and make comments because they always look at what their teachers wear carry or do.

Multigrain bread with peanut butter banana raisins slivered almonds and a drizzle of agave. A side of carrots fresh from the farmers market and a big glass of ice water. A great meal after a lunch time walk.

Ingredients 13 cup hazelnuts 1 cup 125 g wheatmeal biscuit crumbs 1 tablespoon canola oil 14 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 500 g silken tofu 1 cup 220g cottage cheese 30 g dark chocolate melted 12 cup white sugar 23 cup packed brown sugar 2 tablespoons plain flour 1 egg 2 egg whites 1 teaspoon vanilla extract what to do 1. Preheat oven to 190C. Toast hazelnuts on a baking sheet until skins begin to crinkle about 7 minutes. Leave oven on. Rub hazelnuts with kitchen towel to remove as much of the skin as possible. When hazelnuts are cool enough to handle coarsely chop and set aside. 2. In small bowl stir together biscuit crumbs oil and 1 tablespoon water. Press mixture into bottom and part way up sides of 20cm springform pan. Bake for 8 minutes or until crust is set. Cool on rack. Reduce oven to 180C. 3. In small bowl combine cocoa and 14 cup water until well moistened. In food processor combine tofu cheese chocolate white sugar brown sugar flour whole egg egg whites vanilla and cocoa mixture and process until very smooth. 4. Pour batter into baked crust. Bake for 40 minutes. Reduce oven to 120C sprinkle nuts on top and bake for 10 minutes or until just set. Cool to room temperature refrigerate for 2 hours or until chilled. hope you like the idea!

My fav. lunch to pack for myself or my husband would be my southwest sandwich wrap... spinich wrap veganaise mustard veggie burger pattie corn kidney black beans veggie shred cheese lettuce tomatoe avacado and a little southwest salsa to spice it up sooo good my husband was bragging to all of his coworkers who aren't vegan!! They were jealous!!

I love sliced avocado with a little lime juice to keep it from turning brown. I put the slices on brown rice crackers. Yummy! Then a little salad and some fruit. Yummy!

Lunch or Tea wild rice boiled in coconut milk with fresh chilli and lime segments. Lovely hot or cold!

I love PETA's "faux" tuna salad sandwich on whole grain bread with a lovely mandarin spinach salad. Mmmmm mmm good!
