West Hollywood Bans Sale of Dogs and Cats From Puppy Mills!

Dog and cats across West Hollywood have a little more pep in their step this week after hearing the news that WeHo's City Council voted unanimously to ban the sale of dogs and cats in pet stores. This landmark law makes West Hollywood the first city in the country where it is illegal to sell dogs and cats bred at puppy and kitten mills. Way to go, WeHo!

Sharon Osborn said she used to buy overpriced mixed breed dogs and Persian cats from breeders online and in fancy looking pet stores in Beverly Hills and London. That was before she or anyone else in her family knew she was buying puppy mill dogs and cats. She stopped buying them and sued the companies she got her pets from. They businesses were eventually put out of business and sent to jail. I live in Arkansas where there are lots of puppy mills. Last year pet stores Arky Barky were put out business for buying dogs from PM and for sending unwanted and unsold dogs to testing laboratories. One of the biggest ripoffs in Arkansas history. The owners and employees are now serving time in prison. PM are not legal but many still exist like Hunte Corp. the PM that provides dogs to Petland and Petsmart. We must educate people about dogs and cats in mills. BTW Hunte Corp. has it's own trade mark and has ties with the AKC. Please stop all PM!

ISN'T STOPPING IDIOTS LIKE PARIS HILTON MILEY CIRIS AND OTHER "CELEBS" FROM PURCHASING THESE PUREBREED TINY PUPS......THEY ARE THE ONES THAT NEED TO BE "FIXED" AND DONE AWAY WITH.

Speaking of proanimal legislation...we're getting very close to adding another state to the "felony animal cruelty law" list. Go Mississippi! These pet stores all sell puppies from puppy mills whether they are the fancy boutique type the mom and pop store or Petlands. The puppies all come from commercial breeding factories for dogs HELL ON EARTH! The pet stores lie and falsify and make up stories about "local breeders" or "good breeders" but it is ALL LIES! And the AKC supports it all because the AKC makes most of its money registering puppy mill dogs and puppies! Do a google search for "akc puppy mill" The AKC is deeply involved in the puppy mill business. That money is what pays for all the dog shows and everything else. BLOOD MONEY!
