PETA's Olympic Commercial Stride

In planning for the upcoming Winter Olympics, will the folks at NBC take a cue from the CBS executives who decided to run more advocacy ads during this year's Super Bowl? PETA is about to find out. We're asking the network to air our animated anti–seal slaughter commercial during the Olympics:

While NBC decides whether or not it will seal our deal, urge Canadian officials to stop the seal massacre immediately.

I think this ad is relatively harmless have you ever seen real pictures? Sure you have! It's more the sketch of the story in comparison to what happens every year! Thank you PETA nobody can say it's too brutal I hope it gets on the air... isn't it short enough for a mobilemovie?

This made me very sick and outraged to see this I hope it does get on the air and we can all see the kind of SCUM that is allowing this to happen to poor and difecless beautiful animals. The peolpe doing this very crul act are very very small people or shoud I say SCUM! I will post this everywhere I can and send it to all I can!!!

I honestly don't think this ad would be run. Yes its animated but there is still gore. I thik PETA should look in to making nonbloody advocacy vids even though I understand the difficulties involved in doing that. Because even though it may not be as effective or attentiongrabbing to air a more "family friendly" video airing any video is better than airing none at all.

The chance that CBS would let this run is very small. It's not all about money. It's about what PETA stands for and this goes against much of the food industry advertising. Though that would be AWESOME if they ran the ad!!! D

I would be VERY surprised if CBS won't allow this commercial to run there is nothing graphic nor any footage of the real slaughter is actually shown.

If you're willing to pay the money I'm sure NBC will be willing to run the ad. That's the clincher though you must pay money in order to get it on air. ALL advocacy ads are still paid for in order to run on the air.
