'Lettuce' Remember Michael Jackson by Going Vegetarian

Yesterday, crowds descended on Los Angeles' Staples Center to pay respects to the "King of Pop," but it was "Her Royal Hotness," PETA's Lettuce Lady, who stole the show outside Michael Jackson's memorial. Wearing only her signature lettuce bikini and a single, white sequined glove, Christina Cho held a mirror reading, "Go Vegetarian for the Man in the Mirror."

A line of reporters from local television stations and newswires, including Associated Press and Reuters, waited to talk to PETA's Lettuce Lady.

Her message was inspired by Michael Jackson's hit, "The Man in the Mirror," which pondered the impact of personal change:

I'm gonna make a change,
For once in my life,
It's gonna feel real good,
Gonna make a difference,
Gonna make it right . . .

What's the easy answer for those who want to make a difference in their health, animal suffering, the environment, and starving children like those featured in the song's video? Go vegetarian!

Our message was simple: Take a moment to reflect, and then "make that change."

Michael stated in his book in the late 80's he decided to become a vegetarian and he liked how his body responded to the diet... So aside from the moment he dined on KFC with Magic he was a vegetarian the rest of the time.

GO VEG! Michael was indeed a vegetarian despite rumors.. Just because some basketball player said MJ at kentucky fried chicken now everyone is doubting his vegetarianism.. When he was in fact a veg.

First of all michael jackson is the greatest entertainers that ever lived. Second of all he was vegetarian for a little bit in the 80s only because he wanted a dancers body. He loved animals with all his heart and spent millions of dollars a year on vet care so his animals lived a wonderful life. Rest in peace michael. You truly were the king.

MJ was too sweet for this earth. He loved animals and children and treated them with love and respect. He was threatening to many because of his generous spirit. I think that he was taken early to a better place because he was so awesome.

I think that there wasnt a show and that its a wrong statement. I also think that he loved animals and he took good care of them. I think he was misunderstood but he was a nice and a lonely man and the best entertainer

MJ Exploited animals? Do People NOT get that? COME ON He kept wild Animals at his home in a Personal Zoo! He is in NO way someone for PETA to "Lean on" now or EVER. Not to mention he was a freak.

no way! Michael Jackson wasn't vegetarian. his favorite food was fried chicken. but I'm! I love you peta. think everybobody should be vegetarian is the only way to save the world and of course the Animals! kiss

I do all I can to be vegetarian sometimes it seems so hard for many reasons. But now I 'will' do it for sure! Goin' Vege for the 'Man in the Mirror'
