Girls Gone Wild's Joe Francis Attacks Zoos

OK a respectable organization such as PETA cannot seriously be supportive of this statement as being for animal rights. This guy was thrown in jail because he filmed underage girls naked without consent which was wrong. When he was released he goes on some radio talk show and makes an analogy about the work he did and he makes his analogy using a metaphor for zoos. Ok that makes sense but you cant seriously think he was trying to make a statement about animal rights or think that he was trying to point out to the world that animals shouldnt be in zoos. If PETA is supposed to be an organization for animal rights you would think they would be a little more supportive of zoos. Most zoos are there to help and rehabilitate animals. People who work at zoos are passionate about the health and safety of the animals and they work hard to ensure they are treated well and are kept healthy. Sure there are probably exceptions and yes the animals are technically in cages or a miniature version of their natural habitat. But if you think about it zoos are being helpful in that fashion because the animals in the zoo do not have to worry about trying to find a meal for the day since they are fed daily. They dont have to worry about the weather conditions since they will be kept safe from Mother Nature. Also they dont have to worry about being hunted down by another predator slaughtered mercilessly and made into that predators lunch. I know PETA is against animals being slaughtered inhumanely and then eaten. And what is more inhumane than having some creature rip you apart with its claws and teeth and then eating you. Animals in a zoo dont have to worry about this danger. So in fact zoos in general are like luxury vacation spots for animals and you would think the people of PETA would be for such an organization. Clearly the man who was arrested because of Girls Gone Wild was not trying to make a statement about animal cruelty nor was he trying to bring light on the zoo situation if there is one. This is quite a stretch for PETA to think he was a supporter of their cause. I didnt know they were that desperate for approval.

I agree with Smitty Maya and April. Lynda "no one is perfect" is not even CLOSE to being an acceptable excuse. Neither are the girls who are known as the "Trollsens" here and no one says that about them! Maybe we should also forgive Hitler if he had saved a dog from drowning........

As a PETA member it disgusts me that you give that pig Joe Francis any credit for anything! He exploits women and UNDERAGE GIRLS thus the confinement behind bars! PETA you're great at what you do but please be more discriminating in whom you associate with and praise. Thank you.
