Another Bull Run Tragedy

In the wake of last week’s news about Spain banning bullfights from national TV comes this story from The Guardian about a man being gored to death while participating in a bull run. 30-year-old Jose Antonio Vaquero was tossed around on a bull’s horns while other runners tried to distract the animal, but apparently it was too little too late.

Sadly, this kind of thing is par for the course when it comes to bull runs and bullfighting, and is another reason for Spain to step into the 21st century and ban the cruel bloodsport once and for all.

I have researched Bull fighting for quite along time. What amazed me is that 90 of the people that go to Bullfights are American and Canadians. For many years the people of Mexico have tried to ban this horrific practice to no avail. They say that they have very little voice. Use the search engine. Judith

Bull fighting and bull running should be banned. When you tease or taunt an animal they are going to attack you. Moreover it is a cruel sport. Spain should be more civilized and ban this practice altogether.

Daily Veg Editor Love your input love your website love how you express your disdain for animal abuserskillers. The animals need more like you. It is very difficult for me to summon up any sympathy for a fool who likes to run with bulls that will be tortured and then killed all in the name of "entertainment". This is something that ancient Rome would have relished Spain please come into the 21st century and ban bullfights. I wish this man had had more compassion for the bulls hence he would not have had any part of this barbaric practice.

Hi i didn't know where to post this. This poem of mine from my new book SHOOT THE MOON has apparently been making the rounds of the internet without my name on it. It's about dogfighting and rescued dogs. please take a moment to read it. feel free to share it with friends...only please remember to keep my name on it as author. John Yamrus and all the sick perverted bastards of the world deserve to die an awful bloody death i was picking my dog up at the vet today and while i was waiting for them to bring her out i looked over at the big white dog on my right and was shocked to see it had an ear missing and part of its skull was gone. it looked like an old wound that had healed over and i nodded at the owner and asked what happened to your pooch? she get hit by a car or something? nah he said shes a rescued dog. rescued? yeah we found her in the road thrown out with her ear gone and her head half torn away. what happened? the cop said they see it all the time. they figure she was raised by people who fight pit bulls and you can tell by looking at her that shes real sweet and i guess when she wouldnt fight she was probably just used. used? for what? bait. neither one of us said a word. i knelt down and gave her a hug and scratched her neck and when i did she turned real quick and gave me a great big wet sloppy kiss. right on the face. and all the sick perverted bastards of the world deserve to die an awful bloody death.
