NFL Has Sacked Vick

Great news! The NFL has finally suspended Michael Vick indefinitely. This is following his own admission of guilt when he entered his plea today. Now urge the NFL to add cruelty to animals—in all its forms—to its personal conduct policy. We need them to hear from as many people as possible!You know, this just really makes me very happy. I'm happy because I know that this country doesn't like dogfighting, and dogfighters had better hear that message and get out of the business. Since the Vick case ripped the lid off dogfighting, law enforcement and PETA are getting tips and leads on other cases across the country. PETA is even offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in dogfighting, and we are already working with law enforcement in a number of different jurisdictions.

After reading all of the comments I think there are some really "good people" out there some really "confused people" out there and some "I don't care people" out there. This is not about he is not the first and won't be the last this is about stopping it forever. Yes humans fight in rings to almost death but the big difference is they made the decision...all these fighting dogs don't have a say can't voice their opinion or their destiny that is what the human is for. Michael Vick took it upon himself to chose if they lived or died...no human has that right be it animal or another human being. Vick has no right to resume the life of the rich and famous that he so carelessly gave up. If his NFL career meant so much to him then why didn't he protect it and cherish it? I don't care about his background or up bringing mine wasn't all that great either but I sure as heck don't think that gives me the right to take anyone's life not even an animals. Let Vick out and let him now face his life as a felon as so many do each day. Let him go through all the hoops other felons have to go through and then lets see how tough he is. Trust me it aint easy for a felon out in this world. He doesn't deserve any special attention or privileges he needs to disappear into the night never to be heard from again. If NFL lets him back in then I am sure the devoted NFL fans will make his life a living hell I know I will. Not test is going to make him normal or prove him normal. May he rot in hell while a pit bull slowly chews him up!!!!

I would be happy if they nevered played Vick again! Anyone that kills animals also tortures them is subhuman in my book. If they felt torture themselves maybe it would sink in..maybe not though they're pretty ignorant!

In response to S. Maurer I personally do not know anyone who thinks or feels that dog fighting is "normal". Yessome sports may be considered violent but the people that are participating are doing so of "free will". These poor animals have no choice in the matter!It is no different than someone throwing you in a ring with a serial killer. Do you think you have a chance? Do you think that people would find that "normal"? It is demented to find dog fighting normal. In my opinion if someone can not only watch but participate in such a revolting act there next step might be human beings!

I hear everyone I hate what Vick did with the poor defenseless dogs who did nothing to deserve to be treated this way. I also hear a few defend the fact that football players get treated the same way BUT NO! it is NOT SO! If they get hurt it is to their approval that they signed the packet that gives them a hefty amount of money. The football players get hurt they get millions for it and live VERY LUXURIOUSLY these poor dogs dodid NOT! The ftball players do not get hurt as these poor dogs dodid so don't even lie to everyone with that. These football players get PAID EXTREMELY LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY FOR WHICH THEY SIGN FOR THESE POOR DOGS GET SCOLDED SEVERLY AND KILLED FOR LOOSING AND DO NOT RECEIVE ONE CENT for LOOSING AS THE FTBALL PLAYERS DO. THESE DOGS DO NOT RECEIVE MONEY WHETHER THEY LOOSE OR NOT AS FTBALL PLAYERS DO. THESE DOGS DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE TO SIGN TO JOIN THIS HORRIFIC GAME THEY ARE UNWILLINGLY STUCK IN TO SATISFY THESE SICK BLOODY AND VERY PAINFUL SO UNJUSTLY CALLED SPORT OR GAME BY THESE SICK PEOPLE. It is upsetting and unfortunate that Micheal Vick did something so stupid out of his own ignorance. However a dream he did work hard for has been stripped from him and he has been villainized in society. He is clearly humiliated. From this experience he could of ran away in shame but he went to Peta to LEARN about animal empathy out of his free will. With that said All you people who are ready to crucify a man who grew up in poverty neglect and ignorace where dog fighting is the "norm". Forgive him because there will be one day you mess up big time. Now is a time to forgive and move on. This man has been through enough to learn that what he did is wrong. Karma will bite all you mean spirited people in the ass! Mark my words. Forgive and let this man go from your own blood lust.
