Mission: Ask Your Local Paper to Carry DeFlocked |
PETA's favorite comic strip—Jeff Corriveau's DeFlocked—has made it to the big leagues! DeFlocked has been picked up for national syndication and is now a regular feature in more than 50 newspapers across the country. Corriveau's comic strip regularly appears on PETA's blog and SaveTheSheep.com, and many people have enjoyed Corriveau's humorous work in behalf of animals. Check out your local paper to see if it already carries DeFlocked. If it doesn't, now is the time to write to or call the editor of your local paper and ask the paper to add DeFlocked to its comic pages. If the strip is already in your local paper, you can still show your support and approval by sending the paper a thank-you letter! Also, be sure to check out Corriveau's spinoff of DeFlocked, called 10% Wool, which is produced exclusively for PETA. The new comic strip can be found at SaveTheSheep.com as well as on our blog The PETA Files.
We at PETA are all very proud of Corriveau and his success. We want to make sure that people everywhere can enjoy and support his work, so please don't forget to write to your local newspaper to request that it add DeFlocked to its comic pages! Between May 26 and July 10, if you send us your letter to your local newspaper's editor, you'll be entered to win a copy of the PETA Book of Cartoons! We'll notify winners by July 14. (By e-mailing us your letter and entering this contest, you are acknowledging that you've read and agree to PETA's privacy policy and the contest terms and conditions.) Be sure to visit SaveTheSheep.com for information about the truth behind the wool industry and to learn how you can make the compassionate decision to go wool-free. |
