"Golden Girl" Grills Governor on Cockfighting
Golden Girls star and Emmy Award-winning actor Rue McClanahan, who helped lobby her home state of Oklahoma to ban cockfighting in 2002, is visiting New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson’s office in Albuquerque in hopes of discussing with him a similar ban, despite the fact that he has refused to answer letters from her—or anyone—on the issue.

American Humane Association Claims,
Many people are relieved, when they watch a film in which chimpanzees and orangutans were used, to see the disclaimer in the credits, "No animals were harmed in the making of this film," which means that the American Humane Association's (AHA) Film and TV Unit has given the movie its "Acceptable" rating. Unfortunately, this rating can be very misleading.
