Virginia Beach City Public Schools reportedly continues to use glue traps, despite assurances that the school system would stop. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers glue traps to be a disease risk because ensnared animals defecate and urinate out of stress and fright. This should be a concern for any school! Glue traps are also some of the cruelest products on the market, causing immense and prolonged suffering. Panicked rodents often rip themselves to pieces in their frantic struggle to escape the sticky mess. Exhausted and terrified, they die from shock, dehydration, asphyxiation, or blood loss. Death can take more than 24 hours! Please politely urge Virginia Beach City Public Schools officials to join the countless learning institutions that have sworn off glue traps! Dr. James G.
