Pig Abusers Charged With Felony Cruelty to Animals at Seaboard Farms, Inc.

PETA's undercover investigation of Seaboard Farms, Inc., a Guymon, Oklahoma, pig farm, shows employees routinely throwing, beating, kicking, and slamming animals against concrete floors and bludgeoning them with metal gate rods and hammers. Other pigs were left to die agonizing deaths from severe injuries, illness, and lameness--often unable to reach food or water--without any veterinary care.

A former manager was charged with four counts of felony cruelty to animals after PETA released details of shocking abuse at the third-largest pig factory farm in the U.S. The indictments marked only the second time in U.S. history that a factory farm employee has been charged with felony animal abuse (the first time was at Belcross Farm in North Carolina, also based on a PETA investigation).
